Very same in ours! Was sickened, wonder why?

No idea. Was after a couple of punnets of nectarines. He seemed to think they'd be coming back in over weekend.

Was in my local Aldi earlier and the Super 6 meats were absolutely ransacked, hardly anything on the shelves ! Any reports on what the pork fillet medallions are like ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,403 ✭✭✭✭vicwatson

Bought some and look nice. As do the other super 6's

No broccoli in the ALDI I was in either. Nectarines are ripen at home... They'd be on my windowsill for a few days and will be a1 then.

Im getting bothered by those that keep asking the same question over and over as they couldn't be bothered to read back the thread 3/4 pages to see if their question was answered, and for that matter those that couldn't be arsed using the search thread or at least look at bargain alerts to see if there is a thread in existence ;)

just have to wait for avocados to ripen up a bit, they seemed very hard.

If you have bananas, leave them beside the avacados, they'll make them ripen quicker.

We had the garlic/herb spatchcock chicken last night and I cannot say enough nice things about it; it was very very tasty and the meat was perfectly cooked even though I left it in 5 minutes longer than recommended.

oven cook , airfryer or BBQ or a mix of oven and BBQ?
    think I'll chance one Saturday
one is enough for 2 adults I assume ?

The best chicken I ever tasted was a garlic and herb chicken from Dunnes that my uncle sliced up and threw on his BBQ last year, don't see why spatchcock would make any difference. I would have bought an Aldi or Lidl BBQ for myself last month if Id known the weather was going to be like this.

I bunged it in its tray into a fan oven at 180 and completely forgot about it for 50 minutes and even so it was really good, and plenty on it to feed two :)

They are on the small side though. But 2 for €4 plus veg would make a meal.

Better off going for the €3 Sirloin they always have then, some of them are massive and its lovely steak.

Ill be making a few of those burgers with the cheese melts on the BBQ, the peppery ones last time were spectacular.

Over 200g each, so sirloin steak for less than €10 / kg

That's as cheap as you'll ever see sirloin anywhere tbh...

There was a three limit sign bout 2 years ago. Seems to have gone now.

They do so on the offers in the run up to Christmas, where spuds / carrots / yellow melon etc are 9c, but throughout the year they don't seem to care!
