If people want to bring a change of dry clothes for the pub- we will try to sort a spot to keep them so they don't get wet....working on it as we speak!

Shit my bad, sorry. I'm having a blonde day and I'm one of the few who hasn't been killing his brain cells all week chugging beers. :D
Worst kept secret I've seen in a long while .. I hope none of ye are working for the NSA :)

Good luck to all, and may the best combination of talent/training effort win!

Had dinner at lunch time. Nice combination of rice and steak. No more solids until after the event. Took a half day from work and am getting my race bag together. Well up for this. Need to stay controlled in the first half.

Just a note, my name is Dave. If any body who I haven't met before introduces themselves using their boards handle later this evening I will punch you in the face.

    And I'm Alan.
And I'll be dressed as a Nun. What about it.

And no, I'm not in the habit of wearing the outfit :)

Got off work a little early today so now I have another hour to kill before my lift arrives. Still a little hungover from drinking all the Brooklyn lager last night so I am just debating whether it not to have a pre race beer. What do you all think?

Think of it as 'pre-race stretching'. Maybe you should knock it back, to stimulate the mitochondria and open up the capillaries in the esophagus and stomach? Remember to stop when you have only four beers left.

Can't make it. Best of luck. Go hard or go home.

    FINAL PREPARATIONS

Never too late to prepare I say.

I've just completed 2 x corona (355ml) at race pace with 60s jog on the spot in between. The beer splits were 26s for the first and 28s for the second.

I'm going to dismiss anyone who beats me drinking 330ml beers, those last few mls are a killer!

Best of luck everyone, I know I've never met most of you in person but I think I love you all at least as much as TRR does....

...now, have to catch my train to the venue.

Had planned on running to the venue (via off licence), but looks too miserable out there. Don't fancy getting soaked only having to stand around waiting to start.

I presume the start will be as punctual as a parkrun event?

I popped over to the venue on my way home. The rain had just stopped but there was a howling wind blowing directly down one of the straights. I'd say draught-ing (see what I did there :D) could be an option for those who are 'barley' () able to keep up.

Yeah 7/2 seems very big in hindsight.

Just completed my first beer mile :-). Getting helicopters on the train home to Limerick! Its like being in a Mission Impossible movie. Epic event. So glad I did it even though the weather was poxy. Great bunch. Thanks to Andy for organising it

Great photo. Strange that it's the beer bottles are what's in focus.

Let's just say that some had to do an extra penalty lap

Great event. Incredibly technical, not for the faint hearted. Just left everyone behind in the pub planning the autumn race when TRR relinquishes his crown.
