Scoring is gonna be fun today. Marcel Siem the only one over today and he's just bogeyed the first so I'm sure that'll be putt right soon.

    Some shooting by Casey

Richard Greene is also -9 thru 16.

And he was only -2 after 9!!!!
1 eagle, 5 birdies and 1 par on his back 9 so far.

    Play suspended.

Bogey for Lowry on the first, tied 11th after 2 rounds...now tied 44th!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,118 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Green comes back after delay and birdies 17 and pars 18.

    -8 on the back 9.
    -10 for the round.

Some round by Green. Few -9's both today and yesterday too. What is the course record? Surely -10 has to be it?

Crazily bunched leaderboard below Larrazabal, 8 players tied for 2nd and another 9 players a further shot back.

Great win for Zanotti. Hard to come out of a 4 man play off

Does that win get him into British Open?

No it doesnt, won the wrong week. Irish, French and Scottish Opens have the 3 spots on offer.

Pity for him. You'd imagine the BMW, being as big as it is would have an automatic space for it.

Still a great win and the playoff was some banter.

Good to see Lowry in and around top 10 again! :D

Followed Zanotti around Fota last week when he was paired with Gmac, seems like a nice guy, fair play to him, great win.

Nice to see Damian McGrane put in a good round today, and Michael Hoey had a great round too. But poor Peter Lawrie. And Harrington missed the cut again, but he has been discussed elsewhere.

Stadler creating a bit of a stir.
    Slow play warnings being mentioned.
3 shots ahead at present but he's making a balls at present. Needs an up and down for a double at the 7th. Car crash stuff.
    Bad back playing up.

He chipped close. Field back within striking distance.

Great chance for Gmac now, looks like it's between Hoey and McGrane for the 3rd Open spot!

Gmac, what a legend, goes in front by 1

Oh my god what a miss!

Ugh, feel terrible for Stadler there :(

    Incredible. It'll haunt Stadler.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,094 ✭✭✭RikkFlair

The look on Gmacs face when they told him Stadler missed. Awful stroke.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,075 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That was a fine round from gmac. You would have had to fancy him in the playoff. Delighted for him getting the win.

Pity Damien McGrane fell away. I wonder how much he earned for his12th place.

McGrane won just over €45k. Moves him up to 115 in the Race to Dubai.

    €45,450

That'll help his cause in keeping the card. Good man!

Interesting to see the Scottish open using the same one tee start as The Open. Good practice for Ivor :-)

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,075 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Really looking forward to the Scottish Open. Plenty of Irish interest.
