It's a bit much,is he going to go around his house and give him a hammering or something?

It just does'nt look great or the having a laugh bit does'nt come across. He would be better to just ignore a fool like that,I'd say the same about any sportsman.

He hasn't gone around to his house though.

I've just wangled 4 tickets for The Late Late show tomorrow night, myself and The Wench will be going, joined by mrstuffins, i have dean (el guapo) coming back to me in a few hours to see if he can go or not, if not then i have 1 spare place. Minimum stipulation is that you have at least 200 posts in the MMA forum at the time i post this.

These are standby tickets, but she said we'd get in for Conor's portion of the show, and each guest will be getting the 'One for everyone in the audience' prize' (Last time we got a night away in a 4 star hotel & spa with 3 course meal and wine)

First come first served (If Dean can't do it)

I'd think the UFC would look down on that kind of thing is really my point, its only some muppet on the internet.

That may be true but Dana himself is always feeding the trolls on Twitter. I think it's hilarious!

Al Iaquinta, a former runner-up on The Ultimate Fighter, has decided to remove himself from April's UFC 159: Jones Vs. Sonnen card, just a day after Joe Proctor pulled out of their planned fight with an injury. "I have been training through an injury to my leg the past six weeks, re-injuring it again a little more seriously last Saturday," said Iaquinta, in an interview with FightLine Thursday. "I was going to push through it and fight anyway. When I heard Joe pulled out, I decided not to fight at UFC 159 and rehab my injury back to 100-percent before taking another fight."

IF you had to choose one of these 3, who would you hope they put him with for UFC on Fox Sports 1 in Boston in August?

    Akira Corassani
    http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Akira-Corassani-22641
    or
    Diego Brandao
    http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Diego-Brandao-25097
    or
    Mike Thomas Brown
    http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Mike-Thomas-Brown-3069

    There's other possibilities too.

They're all tough IMO but Akira's attitude vs McGregor's would make for a deadly build up and if he won, especially if he finished him, it'd be a nice scalp to take.

    Akira for a few reasons.

    1) It'd be great stylistically and I reckon Conor would win and look good doing it.

    2) Brandao is an absolute beast. Strong on the feet but also on the ground. Keep that one for later.

    3) Mike Brown is also an animal. At one point he was the best BW on the planet and I really think (hope) he still has that in him somewhere. Also, he'd probably grapple the sh*t out of Conor.

If I were Dana White I would be putting my potential money making star in 'cotton wool' just like he did for bisping for so long. There might be a few Akiras in his next few fights, and not so many Brandao's.

People are a bit deluded about how good Brandao is I think. He's good and agressive with KO power but he's chinny. He's bee Ko'd in the past. I think Conor would catch him early too.
But I think Akira will be next

A fight with Nam Phan would almost be guaranteed another 60Gs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,486 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

Oh sh*t! That's a nice shout. So many good fights out there he could e involved in. How about Conor v Leonard Garcia? (Although, I can't see how Garcia keeps his job if he loses to Cody McKenzie, even though a couple of his losses have been b*ll****, he'll still be 0-5 in his last 5)

If this thread keeps going at the intensity it's currently at (60 posts per day) then it'll easily smash 7,000 posts by Boston.
