Fellas getting 150k plus pensions from the state while the country borrows to pay nurses wages is pretty much as big a disgrace.

Why don't we have a Graham Norton thread? 20 times better show!

    Just wondering.

My Left Foot is on after this.

Great movie, but perhaps a little heavy for this time of a Friday.

Would Top Gun or Cocktail not have been a better choice, for the night that's in it?

(but not Far and Away. Now that Tom has gone we should never talk about that again)

How about Home and Away? :D

    .

    Thats why.

The busiest thread on boards weekdays is the Liveline thread. Thats not because its a good show though.

And here was me about to suggest a swift kick up the a*&e with a steal toe capped boot.

If I had a choice between Daniel O'Donnell and a kick in the arse I'd point towards by backside and say, do your worst !

Right, am i right in saying this bloke was governer on Mountjoy??

Lonergan comes off as a soft touch; but you don't rise through the prison service and get appointed governor of a prison, let alone Mountjoy if you have no steel or substance to you.

and he is another one of those ******* smug public servants with a pension of €140,000 a year for the rest of his life.

    Ask him about that Tubs.

Tubs' pension probably dwarfs that so you wont hear him go there..

    Tubs:"Whats the answer?"
    John:"We have to debate it"

So you dont have an answer then.

He would also earn a fair bit from media work, his book, public appearances and after dinner speeches.

In fairness to him, he probably had a tougher job than the likes of gobshytes like Ray Burke and Pee Flynn who are drawing a similar pension and rode the gravy train all the way to their retirement.

Could he "reach out" to the likes of Mick Philpott??

Ireland needs someone like John Timoney, the cop who implemented zero tolerance in New York, not this drippy liberal, who will be reading poetry while there is anarchy in the streets

someone former tv announcer tamara something - worked for itv or similar in the past apparently!

    funny isnt it?

    "reach out to them"

    "talk to them"

John:"Tell me Anto. You lash out, your angry. Why is this? What would improve your life?"
Anto:"An Xbox in me cell, and an iPhone 4"
John:"I'll see what I can do"

Hello Mrs lonergan. What do you think of your hubbies 150,000 a year pension, does he spend it as quick as he talks?
