Yesterday there were five bunnies of varying size outside work.

Day dress and tights? Pretty but not trying too hard ;) Hope it goes well :D

I saw a part time job advertised in J's town, that I'd have relevant experience/training for. I inquired about the hours and they'd be roughly the same as what I'm getting now, maybe more. And no evening shifts. So tempted but I really don't think my parents would be happy about me living down here, even for the summer :(

Go for it - tell them you'll be getting more hours. I call it 'lubricating the truth'. Seriously though, apply anyway, and cross whatever bridges need to be crossed later, if needs be!

Why is the package tracking system so crap for Ireland. Every store says they offer package tracking. It never works though. Everyone I contact about it just says, "Oh, our tracking doesn't work for Ireland." Then say that on the delivery page, damnit! I keep getting my hopes up that I only have to spend one day avoiding going to the bathroom and actually getting dressed in the morning but without tracking that's not possible.

I'm very tempted, I've been at the current place for over five years now, and I hate it. But this new crowd could turn me down straight away when I tell them I'll only be available at weekends from September. But I won't know unless I apply I guess!

I had my first driving lesson yesterday too! Loved it. Found an instructor I couldn't have been more relaxed with - I'll definitely do all 12 with him and the best bit is I have enough money saved to pay for it all - though I only have to pay lesson by lesson

I was reading a thread about gender equality in another forum. Someone asked whether women should be allowed to do everything that men can.

One replied with a sarcastic "Nah, our vaginas get in the way all the time." :D

    I did lol.

And in more relevant news, my dad went back to the cardiologist and doesn't need any more angiograms for the time being. :)

That's great news about your dad PR!

I've managed to lose 1lb in the last two weeks. So that's 4lbs since the end of April :o

    Arghhh!!

Using a scales to measure weight loss makes no sense!

    Was it the same scales?
Was it on the same floor?
Were you wearing the same clothes?
    Have you gained muscle mass?
Do you have damaged muscle? Your body floods that area with water leading to 'water-weight'

Do your clothes fit better is the best measure, IMO.

I know that scales are not the most reliable measure of weight loss. I'm going to do some measurements too, but weight loss is very slow for me so it's nice to see some movement on the scales.

In answer to your questions: yes, yes, yes, no, no. As for my clothes, I think there is a slight difference.

    MY LEGS ARE AMAZINGLY SMOOTH!!!!

A slight annoyance - why is it that when you get skirts and there is a belt with them that the belt is too big for the skirt

An OK day, looking forward to Before Midnight (the final part in a trilogy of films that have been gong on for as long as I know my husband so mean a lot to us).

Saw someone from my past - nice person and glad that he is happy with a friend of mine (it is complicated) but still glad that I am with who I am.

The scales this evening told me I lost a lb since Monday.
Same scales in the gym, same clothes too.
I cut out the carbs in my lunch and have been having two eggs and two turkey rashers for breakfast so I'm hoping that's the reason why!

I'm believing the scales on this one because I want to justify the salad as lunch. :o
