Only 6 shots behind but in fairness there are 102 players within 6 shots and as things stand he is actually outside the cut mark, very compressed field at the minute.

That's true. I just have a feeling he is going to go low today and will be back in the 20s(odds) by tonight. Time will tell I guess.

Great finish by Spieth to make up for yesterdays horrible finish.

Very solid 5 under from Spieth. Back down to 20/1 now.

Its going to first quiet weekend of season for me unless English can get going.

Main thing with Spieth will be tomorrow's round. Has to put up a decent Saturday score eventually, though I do think yesterday's back nine score will prove costly for him come the end of it all.

One lad out there (Allred) at the moment is tearing the course apart

That he is... 9 under thru 14 holes and never even heard of him!

Ha, awesome jinx from moi. A minute later he makes bogey.

    edit - B2B bogeys on 16 and 17 I should say.

Matsyuama with a poor back nine, hmm.

Interestingly Bae was the halfway leader a year ago with the same score but shot a third round 76.

Haas -4 with English -2 gives me outside chances, but good rounds by both are needed tonight. Think playing for place money at best now.

Harris hasn't putted great this week,i wouldn't rule out a run from has though

Well Haas has birdied the first!

Tee time seem early to me - Expecting bad weather?

Only just realised that now. Last tee time is 9.46am CA time.

Must be something to do with weather alright. Seems strange otherwise.

    Spieth on fire!

That 3 putt from 6ft is a bit of a derailer for Spieth.

that helps ease the pain a little jordan :)

frame for this. Beautiful fader of the ball and looking at his shot tracker where he really eases the ball into the greeen I expect him to go well. Took 33 ew.

    Bill Haas 28/1 ew
    Ryan Moore 33/1 ew
Will Mackenzie 150 win and place
John Senden 310 win and place

    .

    A T13, T16 and T23 with round to go.

Can forget winning, but hopefully Haas can shoot low to push for place. That Bogey on last by Senden was a pity, very good round otherwise. English just not shooting low enough. Needed -4 at least today. Pretty much out of running it would seem for place.

the way I'm looking at the betting I think someone will come from the pack, probably one of the boys on -9 but I don't think Haas is completely out of if.

    Agree.

The Top 5 in the market would not put huge fear in me, but Haas will have to get better off Speith, Dustin, Bubba and Schwartzwel so plenty to do.

    Will be very interesting anyway.

If I like a price in morning I might jump in for another player

Van Zyl putts himself out of contention on the 15th.

I backed speith 12 and triangale 33 for later

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,484 ✭✭✭manafana

top 5 in pga field were all triple figure odds before hand so kind of a hint anyway that they will need to be special to keep the chase off

Aiken ill last sunday comes good this week pity but I just could not back at a touch above 10s

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,050 ✭✭✭bobwilliams

    backed Haas @33/1 1/5 odds 1-4

My money would be on Bubba but given how the players I backed this week are doing that seems to mean sweet feck all.

Backed bubba and Allred online today, first time with the online betting, fingers crossed it might pay a bit back

Oh Spieth, why must you disappoint me.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,733 ✭✭✭SnowDrifts

Fairly pissed with what's happening to Spieth right now after jumping on him at 66/1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 34,047 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Going to be 3rd week in a row without nothing. English left it too late in end. Needed good score yesterday.

    Haas fell away badly today.

Backing Speith and Tringale is something I hope to learn from.

    Always a next time.
