Pp has a special 9/1 - dj, Rory or justin Thomas 1st rnd leader. I usually back outsiders for this market, but I think that's a nice price.

It only mentions DJ, JT or Hoffman^ to be 1RL (^no Rory), still reasonable.

Mickelson might do well, only enhancement including hims is:
'Bubba Watson & Phil Mickelson to finish in the Top 10 (Inc. Ties) & 39+ players to be under Par for the Tournament' @81.

More complex, but nicer numbers. Both did circa Top10 at Bellerive, but that was way back in '08. But sure what is time anyway. Only an 'indefinite continued progress of existence and events that occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future'.

First time ever I've only backed one player in a Major
    All eggs in DJ basket

Checked the online version, you're right, but in shop it's 9/1 And has Rory over Hoffman!!

Hard to see past dj for outright, but I'm on a number of outsiders too. Xander is one who could be very well suited at 95 on Betfair.

PGAtour site is very slow to update, other sites registered the An B-H (@151, 7pl). double eagle on 17th, nearly 5mins ago

    Edit: https://www.flashscore.com/match/SOH7QamR/p/#match-summary
it was incorrectly updated. They are generally very fast/eager to update (although not always correctly),
an extra few mins over the pgatour.com can be an advantage in certain circumstances.

few bob ew on zach at 40/1 with 888 -3 after 11
    not bad odds imo

rest of my bets looks bad esp frl speith, brooks, thomas
same three outright also...there's hope yet!

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,839 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    zach still 40s on 888 only 20/1 on 365

    went in again

edit now 28/1 around ten minutes after that birdie lol

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,839 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    kisner 50/1 ew 6 places 888 -3 after 16

Zach might even snatch 1RL position @8, from -4 on 14th,
but careful not to selection the similarly named Johnson Zach (J) who's at the bottom of the LB.

No-one cares about the PGA? I suppose when it's not on telly...

    I'm on Rory, Justin Thomas

Does anyone ever win by betting on 'big players' in-game when they slip back a bit? These guys' odds are about twice as long as when I backed them, and they're only 5/6 shots behind...

woodland was best at 100/1 for frl (fowler 35/1)
    good start for the bookies

I tend to go with lesser well known golfers myself as you tend to get big prices on them or good value rather

I do think the prices on thomas and koepka at around 22s+28s aren't bad, even the 60s on spieth who's one player that could do something special
on the other hand I'd have no interest in rory at 25s, wouldn't trust him to put three good rounds together

But may be forgetting the fact that there is no longer 10pl available, just circa 6pl now.

Momentum is a big factor, there is a slight psychological advantage to having a stream of sequential birdies over bogeys. But that factor level depends on the mental dynamics of each individual.

I'm on Rory, Justin Thomas and Olesen outright, Tiger top American. Was going to do Rory and Justin anyway, but I had to add Tiger when I saw the three of them in a group, even though I wouldn't be surprised if he missed the cut...

Well none of them missed it, which is probably a first for me golf betting:rolleyes:

 I'm launching a birther movement against Koepka. I mean what sort of an American name is that...

This or the other Mega one https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056948763&page=66

Hard to see past usa-usa-usa @3.5 for this, but not massive value.
    Best outright is 1.95.

Might tag a more ambitious, but popular 17-11@15 (lads) on the end of an acca. Alt: 16.5-11.5 @16 (sky), or B365 is best for 17.5-10.5 @34.

As mentioned on the other thread, Fleetwood for top Euro.
