I don't know. Save less than €7 but wait a while for delivery and it could get damaged or lost in the post, or pick it up in Smyths on the day of release? No harm in pre ordering I suppose.

Going by their site, Smyths are just selling the game on its own.
But nice to see the price dropped. Ordered at €59.99 so the price guarantee means I only pay the lower price

I still haven't received my LE Project Zero. Coolshop sent a second copy a week ago and that hasn't turned up either.

Very rarely hear about amazon losing stuff in the post. Expected delivery is the 9th - 11th of December.

Amazon.fr have the new 3DS XL for €173 delivered. Is that as good a price as I'll see before Christmas? Santa needs to know...

It might be worth holding out until next week (Black Friday Week) or looking in the Amazon sales.

Silly me. I was mixing up the Twilight Princess LE on Smyths with the Xenoblade LE on Amazon. I've both ordered. It's strange that the Xenoblade LE still isn't on the Smyths website yet the TP LE is. If it does turn up there I expect it'll be €70.

    Kirby Rainbow Paintbrush £17.95 + £2 delivery

    Chibi Robo £9.99

    At the Game Collection.

    http://www.thegamecollection.net/sale/christmas.html

That's €29 for Kirby. I've never played the game. Is it worth it?

As a Kirby fan I'd like to say it is worth it, but it's really not.
You spend far too much of your time staring at the Touchpad, despite the gorgeous HD visuals on the TV, as that's where the game is controlled with the stylus.
If you have played Kirby Canvas Curse you'll know precisely what the game has to offer and if that's ok with you, then you're sure to enjoy the heck out of the WiiU game.
Otherwise, save your pennies and by Kirby's Return to Dreamland instead from the Eshop for €19.99, it's a great title, very similar stylistically to Kirby's Triple Deluxe on the 3DS, another fantastic game.

Bayonetta 2 is very cheap from there too. Cheers Alekito!

Amazon had it for 12 sterling earlier this week in a lightning deal. They have a week to go to black friday so there's a decent chance they'll repeat it. If you have items to make it up to 25 for free delivery it might be worth the wait?

If you're going to play off TV anyway, does that make it a more worthwhile game?

I see some poor muggins paid €16 delivered for a secondhand copy of Black Ops II in good condition on Ebay Ireland today.

When they could have bought it new and delivered for half that price here:

Call Of Duty: Black Ops II (Wii U) £3.95 plus £2 for delivery from the gamecollection.

Skylanders Superchargers Starterpack for Wii or Wii U is €39.90 from Fnac - €52.75 delivered. (€12.85 shipping)

If you went with someone to buy two you could get it for €47.25 each.
    It's €79.80 for both - €94.50 delivered (€14.70 shipping).

Seems like a good deal as its ~ €70 in Smyths, Argos and Amazon.

Or add something else from all Wii U - http://jeux-video.fnac.com/s302192/Wii-U/Tous-les-Jeux-Wii-U

I've been thinking about taking the jump into Wii U ownership.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get the Wii U (any size) with a copy of Smash 4?

Based on preliminary research (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ft4iw0YrzZmX3F13zdn15ews7iLjotuu4q1nR-vbRgk/edit?usp=sharing) it looks like Smyths toys. They also throw in a copy of some skylanders (but for the regular wii it looks like).

I'm in the same boat for a Wii U console, but I'm waiting for black friday before making any purchase.

No, that's the game on it's own.

Some good Price Comparison sites (You can search by specific bundle, or basic pack too).
They also don't include a lot of other sites.

I really liked the design of the original 3DS, the layers integral to the machine, particularly in the teal coloured one was fantastic, although the glossy interior did not make 3D viewing all that comfortable, especially if there was a bright light behind your noggin.
The 3DS:XL fixed the latter, but the design was far more boring.

But a 3DS and a 3D copy of Layton, a lovely Christmas pressie for anyone!

I saw this odd item in the listings in Argos just now
    Link
The title suggests that it is a "Nintendo 3DS Console and amiibo Chibo Robo Bundle"
Now, there is a strong chance that it is only a 3DS Chibi Robo Amiibo bundle, that is the game and amiibo boxed up, because they don't appear to have any other listing for this item.
That said, there is also the slim chance that it is a console plus the game and they fecked up the listing and price....
I've reserved it to go and check, if it's not what I think it is I won't take it.

I reserved it too but can't see that being what we hope. Hapy Christmas to me if it is! Not sure what time I'll get in to check it out though.

Think we all have 2 hopes.

No hope and a very strong likelihood that it more than likely in all future possibilities will probably, with a strong chance of possible, be uncertain.

North America Cyber Monday sale. Is the EU shop event on Monday? I'll be buying Wonderful 101 if we get a similar reduction. And Never Alone. Maybe a back up Windwaker.

When will people be able to check in with the Argos deal?
It'll be tomorrow evening at the earliest for me.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,099 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Argos are funny sometimes, bad grammar and stupid errors but an airtight computer system that over rules such errors. I need a dirt cheap copy of animal crossing new leaf, what are the hopes of this going cheap on any upcoming eshop sale, again Bob and none I suppose. :p
