    Real shame about that result; 229 shouldnt have been enough but we had more than enough opportunity to win. We really need to find a proper strike/death bowler to close out games like this.

    Its both frustrating and encouraging that we have just come out of a two game series with Pakistan and could have won it 2-0.

    What do people think of the idea of Ireland touring Pakistan?

    I was originally against the tour of zimbabwe a while back but that did seem to go well iirc.. Pakistan however carries a real physical danger, but it would be nice to repay them for their games here and earn some goodwill (assuming the players want to go of course).

    It would be great to see Ireland tour Pakistan, but I cant see it happening while there are safety concerns.

    Agghhhh!! That's a win thrown away.

    We started badly, and recovered to set a decent total - not world-beating, but enough to bowl at.

    We then bowl brilliantly, field wonderfully and put Pakistan in a place where we should have finished them off.

    Then 2 overs of madness and we lose.

    Heartbreaking.

    I enjoyed both matches, really sould have won both. On Sunday we left 20-30 runs out there with the mini collapse after getting to 176 (7 overs left iirc).

    Despite that we then had it in our hands to win it and really should have done so. Good performance against a top team.

    And no sign of Irfan after his rubbish performance on Thursday.

    Very proud of the team who gave their all during the 2 days. I know the players won't think this but we were inches away from two victories and can hold our heads high.
    I was afraid we might have got spanked on Sunday but we played them of the park for the majority of the game.
    Looking forward to other ODIs now and us clinching qualification.

    P.S. a big well done to the ladies team.
