    The PS4 will be running an OS more specialised than Windows. Should also be running less applications concurrently as well. This should allow the system to perform much better than a comparable PC. The fact that each system will be running the same hardware means the OS needs to do less compensation as well.

    I'd be quite happy to see a DayZ style game on the PS4, but in it's current form, it would be an absolute nightmare to play with a controller. They'd need to do a lot of work on it before it would work (imo).

    Both PCs built for playing arma (the core being my old one). The game doubles in FPS on both machines when the SSD is introduced.

    Arma only uses 2 cores, you can pick 4 but it wont use them. Its also limited by the ram limit on 32bit and there wont be a 64 bit anytime soon :( The disk usage is horrendous and tbh an SSD is a better investment than a CPU if you want Arma to run well.

    If you're running an AMD CPU though, then a change to an Intel CPU would be better than an SSD. Arma 2 runs like ****e with an AMD CPU.

    An SSD fixed all my issues of getting massive stuttering when going fast, such as driving a vechile due to the games terrible loading system having almost no cacheing. I find that the server and mod combonation is more important to the FPS than even my old system to new. Awful servers will give you awful framerates.

    I don't see a problem with the current heli crash sites. Its a bit unrealistic the way the heli just explodes in mid flight for no apparent reason. Maybe if when they appeared they were already smoking and just smashed into the ground it might not look so silly.

    Taking this from one of the comments on the video as to why the helis have to blow up in order to crash "It's the only way to get it to go down. You have to set damage to the helicopter though scripts, and the only thing you can do to it is set it to blow up. Even if you disable the tail rotor at 0.9 damage, damage is scaled between 0-1, the AI is very good at keeping the helicopter in the air and will not crash. There isn't a way to get it to fall out of the sky without blowing it up"

    Make it run out of fuel maybe?

    It's still possible to land the heli while out of fuel without it exploding. Damn AI having some sort of self preservation.

    thats where you script the pilot in the chopper to die. but yeah in general its impossible to get choppers to crash the way you want them to crash.

    its getting a regular 10-15players a day but would like to see more!

    install via
    dayz commander or play with six or manual install file here.
    Kill Message Board - Each Trader City contains a Kill Message Board that lists all the kills/deaths in the server since the last restart.

    Crafting System - Ability to craft certain items

    Smelting System - Ability to smelt certain metals from readily available materials

    Currency System - Gold, Silver, Copper, Tin and Aluminum Bars

    Dynamic Road Debris System - DayZ debris system replaced by random vehicle wrecks and debris that spawn on roads with loot.

    Dynamic Vehicle Spawn System - DayZ fixed vehicle spawns replaced with random vehicle spawns anywhere near buildings or roads throughout the map.

    Base Building System - Placeable Barriers, Fences and Gates (difficult to remove)

    Tag Friendly Players - Get a visual identifier for those you have made friends with.

    Salvage Parts - Remove wheels and window glass from vehicles. The higher the damage to the part the higher the chance the part will break and be destroyed.

    Siphon Fuel - Fill Empty Jerry Cans on vehicles if they have enough fuel.
    Personal Safe - Owner lockable storage tied to CD-Key.

    NPC Traders (note: Players at -2000 or less Humanity will not be able to deal directly with most NPC Traders)

    Vehicle Ownership - Purchased vehicles can be locked/unlocked by owner
    (Tied to CD Key). All owned vehicles will spawn locked after server restart.

    Custom new content:
    • Energy Drink - very rare (it has wings).
    • Zombie Parts Bag. - Gut zombies.
    • Bio Meat - Adds 1600 hp when eaten but higher chance to get infected.
    • Gold, Silver, Copper, Tin and Aluminum Bars

    More Wearable Clothing
    • Female characters can switch clothes to other female skins.

    Infected Player
    • Die while infected and you will return as a random infected player.
    • Walk or crawl like a Zombie.
    • Practically invisible to other zombies both sight and hearing.
    • Can run very fast without sprinting.
    • Cannot use any items or carry weapons.
    • Cannot bleed.
    • Cannot drive or ride in vehicles.
    • Infected Player Skills
    • Raise Horde - Calls all zombies to your location within 100m.(zombies will detect and attack the infected player)
    • Attack - Short range melee attack causes bleeding, broken legs and/or infection
    • Feed - Only way to gain health is by feeding on dead players or wild animals.

    Who is Mr anderson? i met him the other day in cherno and you fell into a good trap,
    I started shooting at you not trying to hit just in your general direction, hoping you would shoot you dinner bell rifle, and sure enough you did, so the zombie's killed you and not me, then i was able to loot your body without the negative humanity...

    Is there a way to check your humanity by the way?

    to tag friends u need to walk up and you will get a pop to "tag as friendly" it won't work until both parties do it.

    and to check your humanity press insert.

    btw if you need a safe you need to ask me. i have to manually add them to the database for them to be at the traders.

    and in case you ask a safe is like a tent with x4 the amount of space and your can lock it so noone can access it only u.

    That's one of the things I hate about epoch. I'm glad standalone is going on the opposite direction where nothing is safe.

    well if your smart and you know who's safe it is can you camp it. once they unlock it becomes a FFA. Im gonna restrict it to 1 per person. and its quite expensive to buy.

    also 2moro morning i will enable side chat, saw what needs to be changed so will do it then when noone is on.

    Worst thing about Epoch is people camping the trader cities for free kills. Pretty good otherwise, enjoying the server.

    Yeah Ive been watching vids on youtube and I saw one trader city totally surrounded by high ground and I was thinking heh, theres no way id ever go near it. Maybe some servers could make the trader cities no kill zones like the gun stores on the gaelords wasteland server.

    Killed some guy at the trader city and he started moaning on to Laviski, it is Dayz you have to remember that no where is safe...

    Yeah i am all for killing in trader city places. It's a risk you have to take if your going to go to one. Sure there might be guys camping it, but a bit of observation & you will find them & kill them yourself. The mod already has a crutch in that you can have your own locked tent. We dont need another one, its not what DayZ is about. Simon is right, no where is safe!
