Dont think it will suit those who have a WC to change your team if match are off, why get rid of some players when you have to pay more to get them back, might change the fringe players though.

Who else do they have? Odemwingie is meant to be on his way out and Long is injured.

Ode is on the bench tonight and maybe you are right but i myself think it is a big ask for 3 games in 7 days

Sturridge is a bit risky. Is he going to start games? I'd wait until then. But could be a good shout. He's greedy so if he sorts out his sharpness he should find the net a few times. Bale is pretty much a must have for me. He's coming back in on my WC end of the month.

I think he will start games. I didn't think that last week but Suarez is defo going to be moved to accomodate him.

Thinking it is worth the punt. My only fear is that it doesn't work out and Suarez is pushed forward again - wouldn't be able to afford to bring him back in.

Get Gibbs in then, most assists from defence this season and played every game while fit.
I'd go for Vermalen in that case, he's due a goal or two soon and he's a banker to play,

    Brilliant. :)

Not sure what you are getting at, I meant Vermalen is a good option if money is no object and you're shipping him out straight after, he hasn't scored yet this year but he has a good record and may be due a goal or two, worth a punt as Gibbs has big ownership among serious players.

Great reading amongst some users in the actual game week thread btw!

I have a question for you folks. I have Berbatov but I want to get rid. I though he was on the verge of a price rise and was sure it was going to happen before last weekend but obviously his lack of points hindered that. My plan was to swap Podolski for him in a straight swap as I had 1 million in the bank but now I'm short 0.1 to do it.

Would you swap Ba for Podolski or
Berba for Sturridge or Dzeko is my question.

    Thanks!

I'd swap Berba for Sturridge. Aguero is nearing a return so Dzeko could be back to the bench.

Sturridge has a point to prove and Liverpool are home to Norwich.

I expect Ba to start this weekend because Torres should start tonight but we'll know more at the weekend.

Ruiz + Suarez -> Lukaku + Dzeko? I could go for tevez either, but he hasn't scored in ages. Decisions, Decisions..... ( also, I'd be -4 for the 2 transfers)

Just wondering who your original two strikers are that you are transferring out? I would go with the Suarez and Ruiz combination as I think Suarez is worth a captains pick this weekend. Ruiz I wouldn't be too confident about, perhaps Pogrebniak instead as he's in decent form and is even cheaper?

Thinking about bringing Rangel from Swansea back into my team. Saw that he was playing alot more advanced at the weekend.

Swansea have a nice run of fixtures coming up, and at 4.7m could be worth a punt, as I like players playing up the field a bit, gives a chance of a CS and maybe a goal/assist.

    Any views??

What do you think of transfering Luiz to Swanseas Rangel (+2m) after todays game? I really dont want to have 3 Chelsea players in goming weeks. I already got Mata and Ba.

Swanseas defence was quite solid against Everton and their coming fixtures seems to be quite nice.

    My current defence is:

    Luiz- Sagna-Zabaleta (demel, mariappa)

and after the Arsenals dgw I might go with Sagna to Rafael.

So its a deal, we ll both take rangel :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,385 ✭✭✭cardwizzard

Yeah I have Cameron from Stoke, he costs me 4.9 but had him on the bench, which is too much for a bench warmer on my team.

Have Naughton, Gibbs, Luiz plus Harte. Thinking Naughton might not start as much in the future as Fellanis cousin is back soon. So dont wanna waste a transfer.

i think rangel only played there to combat baines Davies at 4.2 wud save more money.

Oh Sorry I was just making a joke, thought it was funny that 2 people both gave same response with different players! Kind of put me back at square one. Wasn't meant to be offensive or anything! I appreciate the input.

I'm more drawn to Vermaelen as an Ajax fan. However I agree with you that Gibbs is probably going to be owned more by the higher-points scorers.

I'm leading my money league and work league so strategy is stay ahead rather than catch up using differentiators so Gibbs is probably the better option.

I do agree with you that Vermaelen is due a goal....cue him scoring now! But Gibbs it is. :)

    Thanks all.

    ^ this
“We had lost three times to them in the league, so we came here with a game plan,” said Rangel.
“I played with Dwight on the right, and we are both full-backs but we could top them playing down that side and prevent Baines and Pienaar from cross to Jelavic, Fallaini and Anichebe.
“You have to adapt and help the team. My role was to defend and it was always going to be difficult because Baines is like an extra winger.

Seriously what Gods did West Ham's full-back piss off?

It's being constantly chipping away at my weekly free transfer. I might have to use up my transfer again switching back to Demel from O'Brien. Otherwise I could just try to bring in another Arsenal player, probably Gibbs for Luiz.

Any thoughts on Di Santo until Kone returns? It would seem he is taking Kone's striker role. He didn't play in FA cup last night either so Martinez surely plans him as a key player in PL in Kone's absence

Cheap @ 5.3m and next 3 fixtures are ok too. Also he is a greedy fecker on the ball which is of course good in FF.

Not sure if I will go for it, but everyones teams are looking similar. I like to have one or two players a little different just for fun:pac:

Lots of snow set to blanket all of Britain on Friday. Wouldn't surprise me if all the football was called off this weekend.

    Hold onto those transfers lads...

Maybe this is when they should introduce that 39th game, find somewhere nice and warm to play :pac:

On a serious note what does anyone think of Remy? Presume a lot will depend on his price.

Presume a lot will depend on his price.

    and where he plays.

his goals return isn't great of late, and he might be played on the wing with Cissé in the middle.

    +1
He hasn't a great goal scoring record and I cant see his new team mates creating alot for him. Taarabt is unlikely to start passing the ball anytime soon :D

If you believe Sky Sports News Cisse will be off though, not that they said where or if anyone was even interested in him...

the beautiful thing about my last comment was that I was actually picturing Remy at Newcastle, completely forgetting he's actually at QPR.

it's quite fortunate that the comment still kinda works :D

"Hoy volví a entrenar con el equipo y me sentí muy bien. Que lindo es volver a pisar el campo de juego!!"

Seen this on a Spanish speaking site i use. Said it's from Sergio Aguero's twitter. On my phone and its annoying to check. Anyways if true it says that today he returned to training with the team and that he feels good. It's nice to step back out on the field.

Keeping on eye on this dude.
