I am not a fan of the night and day version. I only bought it because the one hour tan wasn't there, it's awful. The tan itself seemed lighter than the original and the colour guide marked my clothes. Love the original though, amazing tan

I cannot get this muck off me :(
It's rotten stuff, it's all cracked, my elbows are disgusting. I have scrubbed til I'm raw, and still I'm feckin orangey brown. I have an important day Saturday and am getting my St. Tropex spray done on Friday, I don't know what I'll do if this doesn't come off :/

This, to me, is exactly what people hate when they say they hate fake tan - I get it now.

I love this tan but I know there is nothing worse than when it doesn't suit you and then you can't get it off.

Don't scrub because you are going to dry out your skin and it will hang on for dear life.

Lemon juice and a consistent circular motion in warm water with an exfoliating glove should do the trick.

If you have a bath, put baby oil into it, along with warm water and chill out for as long as you can in it.
Get yourself a pair of exfoliating gloves, and use a body exfoliator (or you can use your own, sugar and olive oil mixed into a paste) and scrub in circular motions.
If you use the sugar/olive oil mixture just be careful with the water in the shower because its very very slippy.

This should lift a lot of the tan, but just do this each day and the tan should be off shortly, you might even get it off in the one day.

Thanks Lads. I've used a shea butter and sugar scrub, and baby oil on exfoliating gloves. I haven't had a bath with baby oil though or tried lemon juice - I'll try them tonight. Thanks a mil :)

Such a pity it doesn't suit me, I know other people that it's lovely on.

I don't like it at all....used it a couple of times now and it's dreadful to remove but it is cheap I suppose. Will stick to Tan Organic in future! You get what you pay for!

I tried the day and night one last week, it turned out like muck on me, had to wash it straight off. Was not happy !

I tried this over a week ago because i heard such great reviews but i have mixed feelings about it.

The tan goes on lovely and it does look very natural but getting it off is a different story  I have it on over a week and even though ive been scrubbing every day there is still some marks left on my skin.

I wouldnt recommend putting it on if you arent prepared to look dirty for a week after :p

Tried it Monday night and last night. I really like it. It gave a light/medium glow overnight Monday and has developed a tad darker today. Really even and no smell. It dries toooo quick though that's my only complaint so you have to be quick, but i have no streaks at all. It's not too disimilar to the Penneys tan, which is cheaper so 7/10 from me.

This tan can definitely hang around. Also, I think it might be a bit inconsistent.
As in, sometimes it turns out darker when left on for same length of time. Or maybe I'm the inconsistent factor!
Still a fan, it's so cheap and easy to apply. I have endured too many sweaty smelly nights sleeping with tan on. No more I say!

The best thing I've found for removing it when it's time to go is Le Edge Exfoliator.
+'s: handy, great for getting rid of all traces of tan, economical in long run, easy for packing for holidays.
-'s: some might not like using a mini-scraper on their skin! No luxury micro-beads here. If the tan is fresh on, it probably won't work (I haven't tried)

I'm on my second can if this. The first bottle I got about 3-4 full body applications out of it and was delighted with it but I don't know if I got a bad can this time. I'm all patchy, scaly and it's impossible to get off. My elbows, wrists and ankles are terrible looking.

    Hi!

I tried this for the first time at the weekend and I'm pretty impressed! I don't wear tan very often as I find a few of them to be quite tango-ish. Also my boyfriend really doesn't like it. But this one was a hit all round, gave a nice glow, like if you'd been out in the sun for a bit and it blended well.
Am going to a wedding in a few weeks so will definitely be applying it for that.
Left it on for 2 hours and it's still on 4 days later, just a bit faded. Excellent buy!!! (but probably not if you want to be more dark) :)

Has anyone used the Night to Day tan yet? I'm not really impressed with it at all. It's hard to describe the colour, it's kind of a grey brown, definitely not a golden glow that you usually get with fake tans. It's easy to apply, but obviously being an instant tan, it gets ruined by washing your hands, splashes of rain, etc. I thought it might have a bit of staying power, like Rimmel's "waterproof" (only slightly waterproof, but still better than their normal version) Sun Shimmer, but it doesn't at all. You're supposed to have a nice natural glow then the next morning after washing it all but I didn't have anything of the sort. At best my skin was just a shade or two less pale than usual, definitely not tanned looking in any way!

that's dissappointing. I read a few bad reviews of the night & day alright. Picked up a "Tough Scrub" sachet from the brand at the weekend, its quite good too. Would prefer if it came in a little bottle though as you'd get a few applications out of the sachet really

It's going to be coming out in a tube in October. Marissa herself told me as I was doing a blog post on it.

Yes I have used Night and Day, I really do not like it. It is very dark and not that beautiful shade that the original Cocoa Brown is. It turned out really patchy on me and was just horrible. I would not like to put it on and head straight out for the night.

Tough Stuff is absolutely amazing, I mean really. I can't get over how good it is. It will be coming out in a tube in October. I do like the idea of the handy sachets, it's good for salons too giving a sachet to their clients after a spray tan to remove the tan and prepare the skin for the next one. I'm typing up a review of it for my blog here as we speak. I love it!

Does anyone know where you can get the Tough Stuff exfoliator? Love cocoa brown 1 hour tan but find it takes a long time for it to wear off which can be annoying.

I got Tough Scrub in Penneys for €2.50.

Random question but does anyone find that Cocoa Brown (or other tans) doesn't work as well after repeated use? I put it on Sunday and my arms are white today, like the colour didn't take very well and faded quickly. This has happened me before with other tans too

I usually do 2 coats of CB (on 2 consecutive days) to get the colour I want, however I didn't have time to do it last night, could I do a double layer today (for tonight) ie do full body, then right away apply another layer??

I bought this yesterday tried a tiny bit of my tummy it only gives a light colour would like it darker. I am going to try a bigger patch again today. Going on hols on Wed so will wax on Monday and put on a load of it on Tuesday morning would like a nice colour as opposed to my white/blue hue at the moment

How long did you leave it? Leave it in longer, over night even, if you want a dark Tan

Ahh ok I thought first it saying 1hr tan I would get it dark then I left for 3 hrs and still was quite light so it keeps developing? Still looking at my tummy now after 5 hrs and not as dark as I would like. Will have to apply a few times before the hols

If you leave it overnight it should be nice and golden the next day. That always works for me. Or if I'm stuck for time I'll put on a layer, wait at least 3 hours, shower off and repeat. Handy for last minute Saturday nights out!

Try the cocoa brown scrub off maybe? I've never used it myself but have read lots of positive reviews that it works really well at removing the tan.

I am going to build it up gradually until hols on Monday cos if I do it all on Sunday might be too light. Yeah have to use a plastic glove or put it on really quick cos it sinks into palms quick. I am used to using spray but I find the mousse easy to apply and dries quickly. Might use my spray tan for back and other hard to reach places

A mitt is by far the easiest and most effective way to apply it.

Nightmare... You can get tan remover in sassy salon services or similar but I have used cif cream in past in an emergency and it works. Not sure how it would be if u have sensitive skin though so maybe try a patch test first. Just to be clear I'm not condoning the use of household products on the skin ;) just it worked for me.

Put it on my arms this morning and I have noticed it getting darker in the last 5 hours wondering though as well I was out in the sun for few hours so might have helped it along

Used this with a mitt and found it quite streaky! Also it definitely has a fake tan smell. I wonder if I just got a bad bottle or something...
