    tried it last night.

Im in the 'm'eh' camp. Found it hard to spread out when I applied it so it was hard to see where it was on especially as no real guide colour. left an hour and a half and now im still pale, no noticeable tan except I've a patch on my elbow where its all jigsaw like!

Just an update I tried the tan again and this time left it on for 3 hours. Really lovely colour. I think it should be advertised as a 3 hour tan and not a 1 hour! Think this will be my new tan very even and natural looking and the no biscuity smell is really great. I found it very easy to apply too.

I've a question, would it be okay do you think just to leave on and not wash off for a night out? Or is there still too much of a fake tan smell?

Have to say thats one thing I loved about it - no horrible smell off it at all!

There really isn't a smell off it at all and it does stop developing after 3 hours. The only thing might be that it could stain your clothes but if you were wearing black it might be okay. If you can though i'd rinse it off after 3 hours and go out, it has a lovely colour after 3 hours.

Just a note the first time I put it on for about an hour and a half I used shower gel I thought this might have effected the tan developing so this time I just showered it off with warm water and showered the next morning using shower gel!

Tried it the other night before a night out. It's not great...

These pics are before tan, after 1hr15mins developing time and a shower, then a further 22hrs later:

On the plus side it is easy to use, not messy or streaky, dried quickly and had a pleasant smell. For me I think I would need to apply several layers before I got the cocoa brown colour that is mentioned on the bottle.

Finally got around to trying this last weekend and i have to say, i found it absolutely fantastic! There is a slight colour when you first apply so you can be sure you got everywhere, no horrible fake tan smell at all, and the colour is perfect for me. It came out even and streak free. I'm extremely pale and my skin generally doesn't take tan well but i love the colour this gave me( i left it on for about 3 hours). I put it on on Friday, and after 2 showers i still have a fairly noticeable tan today. I will most definitely buy this again.

Only thing i did find was that it does rub off slightly on lighter clothes, but a small downside when you take everything else into consideration. Most definitely worth €7.99 imo.

I just bought this yday, I left it on all night as I wanted to see how it would be to wear out etc. Very impressed, I'm very curious how dark it would be if I washed it off after only 2hours now!

So overall people would recommend leaving it on for 3 hours as opposed to 1?

I've very pinky, white skin and unless I go a few shades darker (a la Sally Hansen light glow, I love that stuff) I don't feel comfortable showing me legs! :o

I couldn't wait to try this. So here's my view. First of all it was simple to apply and a beautiful smell. I started to get excited. I left it on for 3 hours, actually about 3 and a half hours. I washed off the guide colour which I really wanted to keep :-) and then ..... NOTHING! I had zero colour, I was very disappointed. However I wasn't going to give up without a fight and the next day I did another coat. Another 3 and a half hours later I was slightly bronzed but needed to top up with Sally henson. Now I don't want The geordie shore glow or Willy wonka's employee of the month but I do want a golden dark tan. I'm starting to give up :-(

My review may sound bad but the product is beautiful, I am going to use it again but it's not the convenient new tan I thought it would be. I still need the undercoat, The gloss and a rub of Sally to look far from my decomposing usual tinge.

Disclaimer I am auburn (think isla fisher) with brown/black eyes so I crave darkness

Finally got my hands on this and tried it at the weekend. Loved the product itself its a proper mousse same consistency of hair mousse and has a good guide colour. I left it on for over 3 hrs a lot of the guide colour did wash off but was still left with a natural glow.I used it again the next night and left it on for 3 hours as well and the colour was a lot better. I didn't use it on my legs yet mind, they don't take tan well so will be interesting to see.

I was so excited to try this but was not impressed with it at all. While it does apply nicely I found the colour change to be barely noticeable even after leaving it on overnight. Fine if you're looking for a subtle glow I suppose.

I love this tan. I'm beyond pale (paler than Mac NC15) so I don't want an extremely deep colour, but I want more than a gradual tanner. I left it on for two hours & it developed like this:

I'm more than happy with it!

Looks lovely on you ChloeElla. I'm going to give it another go and leave it on for 3hrs.

This may sound a bit weird, but has anyone noticed that the older your bottle is the more noticeable the smell of the tan is? Like, when i first put it on from my brand new bottle there was absolutely no smell, about 4-5 weeks ago. I put it on this weekend, same bottle, and could definitely get a slight fake tan smell!

was in the chemist last week and was buying a different tan. lady in chemist mentioned cocoa brown so decided to get it instead of what I had..
    It was a great buy
So nice on.. nice golden brown, its moose and its easy to see when applying it
    it gives great instructions
ive had on 3 days now and still nice even after showers.
great buy and great value for money

I have to say, I'm definitely very impressed with this. I have pretty dry patchy skin and previously when I had tried fake tans they just clung to me and looked terrible :( Whatever formula Cocoa Brown is, it's really non-drying and gentle on my skin and makes it look extremely smooth! I have to say I did notice as some people are saying, that there's practically NO tan left after showering, however I just forgot about it and after a couple of more hours I noticed I was lovely and glowing. I read up on it and it says to note that tan continues to develop after showering, so was definitely glad that it hadn't just disappeared

Tried this again over the weekend. Last time it seems I put on too much and left it too long. I put on a very thin layer with moisturiser on the very dry areas (damn you cold weather), left it for an hour and a half and then showered - just perfect!

Now I've a slight glow with no streaks or patches. I really love this tan. I can't find a bad thing to say about it.

I tried this again a few nights ago - put it on in the evening planning to shower it off before bed but I fell asleep and it was on for about 9 hours! It was really dark in the morning, too dark really but rinsed off to a lovely golden glow.

It's fading really well too, not patchy or streaky at all. I'm going to top it up in a day or two and just leave it on for the 3 hours so I stay a nice even colour.

WOW! Your legs turned out amazing! The colour is amazing!

I need to get myself this Tan.. I usually use st.tropez, which has a dreadful smell, even after it has developed and you have a shower..

bought the 'Vita Liberata' tan today- can't wait to try it out.. Anyone ever used it?

    IT SMELLS DEVINE!!!!!!!

I put this on for an hour this morning and it all washed off in the shower. I might stick it on again tonight and leave it overnight and see if it works.

Showering for me just seems to wash it all off, have tried after one hour, after three and overnight.

Picked this up today in Penneys for E7. Really excited to use it, I haven't had a good fake tan in about 2 years since Sally Hansen changed their formula and the light go became to dark and orange for me (I'm a natural red head and crazy pale, think 0.5-1.0 Urban Decay Naked foundation) so hopefully this will take away the delightful blueness of my legs!

    Hi there all,
I went out yesterday an bought "Cocoa Brown". I tried it today. I left it on for two hours, it's only 9:10 at night at the moment so I will wait until tomorrow for a final decision on it. It's very easy to apply. It doesn't streak. But when I rinsed it off there wasn't a tan. I asked the husband.......but then again that's not a reliable source.....they see nothing! Now in fairness I am tinted a nice pale shade of brown - I don't look like corn beef any more. I have used St Tropez, bit too orangey for me and very expensive and smells awful. The "Cocoa Brown" has no smell, the aforesaid husband could detect no smell. I will apply another coat tomorrow night and will post the results. By the way I have pale skin.
