There is a new version of this tan now coming out- Night & day.

If anyone see's this in any shops post here :)

Just put another layer of this on.

Has anyone any tips for stopping my arm pits from being snow white compared to the rest of my body?

Mine always turn out fine, just make sure you don't put any deodorant at all on, before or after applying. Even if you put deodorant on in the morning and are applying it at night, you should shower first.

    I love this tan!

I applied it the night before going away, left it on all night and all the next day (naughty, I know). I then showered in the afternoon when I got to the hotel and after 3 showers since, it is still a nice golden brown - not unnatural at all!

I got compliments on it too!

I moisturised after every shower and found it lasted much longer. It does gather in places that are drier like elbows so make sure to exfoliate and moisturise :)

Really pleased with this tan. I rarely use fake tan, but had a wedding coming up and the dress I was wearing was a very pale colour and it just looked a little bit better on me when I was a smidge darker.

Quite natural looking and easy to apply with a tan mitt. I washed it off after 2 hours, didn't see any tan development in that time. Slept in loose PJ's and had a tan the next morning. Happy out. Not so dark that I was unrecognisable, not orange at all. There is a faint smell while it is on, but nothing like the horrible spray tan smell. Very impressed.

Is this widely available? I've had a terrible time with self-tans before, I always wind up like a piebald pony!

This seems to get very good reviews, I'd like to give it a go. I'm based in south Dublin city centre.....

I love this stuff, quite light but really golden. It's the only wear off tan I'd wear on a night out because the guide colours so pretty and it hardly smells at all. My friends wouldnt hesitate to scold me if I had a fake tan pong, and they have in the past, but they've never noticed this stuff

That said, it does make my bathroom smell a lot, fair trade I think though

Yeah it's very widely available now, I've seen it in loads of different pharmacies. Their website gives you a list of stockists.

Cheers for that. Think I'll pick some up on the way home from work and give it a go!

Has anyone got some application tips for this?

I've put this on a few times and my hands always come out terribly. I want to love this but I'm starting to lose faith

Don't put it on your hands.

I stop at my wrists and just lightly spread it to my hands.

Are you using a mitt? That's vital anyway! When you are finished tanning your arms, don't apply any more tan to the mitt, just use the residue that's left over to do your hands. Make sure you rub the mitt lightly between your fingers but don't spend too long rubbing any one particular area on your hand. Have your fingers bent slightly, nearly like a claw, so that the tan gets into the creases in your fingers and doesn't leave them white. Don't forget the outside of your baby finger, and stretch out your index finger and thumb and get the bit in between there. If you've done your hand and you think there wasn't enough residue left from your arm to cover your whole hand, then apply tan to another area (chest or leg or whatever) and then once that is done, go again the residue from that area. If you're not sure whether you've applied enough or not, you're best to err on the side of caution and not apply any more. Bad tan on hands looks awful. At least if you've applied too little, you can top them up with instant tan or bronzer, if you've applied too much it's difficult to fix them!

The most important thing is DON'T apply any tan to the mitt before tanning your hands. If you're not too experienced, it's a recipe for disaster!

What's the difference from the original?

I moisturise my hands at the end, the apply a really light layer of tan getting around the sides of the fingers and then apply more hand cream and wipe my palms dry.

    It works for me anyway

This is what I do and it works for me :)

Shower before tanning so there's no traces of deodorant. After I tan my arms/side and there's a small amount of tan left in the mitt gently pat the armpit area to put a thin layer down then buff around the area where it meets your arm and side so there's no harsh lines. After you've left it develop and showered it off you can apply deodorant as normal.

    I friggin' love this tan!

That's the one area I always have issues with with any fake tan. What I do is apply tan to the hands at the very end, using whatever's left on the mitt. I then wash my hands after an hour, but leave the tan on elsewhere for another two. I find this works best for me.

I apply another coat of tan the next day. Once you moisturize daily afterwards the tan lasts longer and fades away more evenly. Love Cocoa Brown but do find it begins to smell like fake tan if left on overnight.

My wedding's coming up and I don't want to get a spray tan, so I gave this a go last night. I'm super-pale and never wear tan, so I only wanted a very subtle tint to take the corn-beef look off my arms :pac:

I left it on for 3 hours and when I showered it all seemed to come off, however I noticed it starting to develop later. When I got up this morning I was very pleased with it, it's really subtle and not obvious that I'm wearing it, which I love. It's probably not for you if you want a deep tan, but if you just want to take the 'blue' off your skin it's perfect.

I tried it again and left it on overnight and think its gorgeous. Defo not a one hour tan tho.

Best way to do hands without streaks is leave them until last and when the tan is still wet ish press your hands into the fat on your bum cheeks, works perfectly, honest! :D

Quick question on this girls if ye don't mind - could you leave this tan on for like 8 hours or would you end up looking hideous?

I hate all this messing with showers. I always fake tan at night and like to have a shower before I put on my fake tan to get rid of lotions and deodrant, perfume, to shave etc...and I really don't want to have to be hanging around for 3 hours waiting to have another shower. Could I put it on around 8pm and have a shower in the morning, has anyone tried this and did it turn out atrocious?

Yeah I've done that each time I've worn it. It only develops to a certain point, you won't turn out super dark if you leave it on overnight! I've probably had it on for more than 12 hours and it still turns out fine. Actually for me personally, that was a little too light so I did it for two nights in a row and even after that it was still a lovely natural colour.

Thanks a mill for the reply. No excuse not to give it a go now. Hope it lives up to the hype. I was never really a moaner about fake tan smells, my problem is blotching in my heels and feet. Only one that doesn't do it is Rimmel Instant Tan (I use the Light Shimmer one) and I absolutely love it, just wish they'd make a non-instant version!

I would only leave it on for three hours, that's the beauty of this product for me, hate the feeling off fake tan on my skin and the smell. I had a really dark colour after 3 hours, next time will leave it on for an hour

Oh wow! I go through Sunshimmer by the bucketload :D It really is the easiest and quickest tan but it just comes off so easily. Even the new "water resistant" one they released comes off with a splash! I'll have to check this one out.

I wish they had just skipped the gradual
and gone straight for a lasting one .... Someday hopefully. You the CB in Penney's for €7 today, absolute bargain, putting it on shortly!

Each to their own, but I find the Rimmel tan crap.
Especially the sun shimmer, looks like dirt when I put it on and hate the way it's non water resistance. Doesn't look well when you're on a night out and someone spills a drinks etc :o
I know they do a water resistance one but it still looks like muck.

Loving the cocoa brown though :D

I'm well impressed with this stuff :D

Bit of a faff having to shower a second time. But apart from that, it comes up lovely. Subtle enough on me, which is fine - I'm pasty white 350 days of the year, so I'd only shock people if I turned up with a deep tan!

Tonight I moisturised before putting it on - it dried in really quickly the first time I tried it and was bit patchy on my feet/insteps. But this time it looks really good, I showered it off after about 2 hours.

    Thanks for the info!!!

I usually wear St. Tropez, it's the only thing I find natural enough for me - I never look like I have tan on. I was going away for the weekend yesterday and completely forgot to do my tan Friday night. So I rang carter beauty as soon as they opened and went for a spray tan for €20 yesterday morning.

The stuff itself was disgusting, it took forever to dry. It was all over my car and everything, yuck. It was really orange and oompa loompa looking and I was getting a bit panicked. Washed it off after just under two hours. Made sure I washed it all off well. Thankfully nearly all the colour went down the plughole and I was left with just a hint of tan which is all I really like to take the blue out of my skin.

However, as the day went on I noticed it was getting darker and darker, it's now a very dark colour and not natural, there is definitely a tiny orange tinge to it. Wouldn't ever get it again. I'll stick with my St. Tropez from now on and just remember to put it on!!
