A surprising amount of black ice & frost on the back roads of East Meath - East of Duleek and between the N2 & N3.

Watch out for the shady spots!

Wouldn't blame the ice for that

    ^^^

+1 on the ice or rather slush build up this morning. One guy in our group made a dramatic save at a junction in Kildare as he shimmied to a halt after ploughing through a build up of the ice/much mixture.

The forecast for tomorrow isn't great so I think I'll be back on the mountain bike with the grippy tyres for the commute into work. At least I'll get a chance to clean the crud off my hack.

I'm still interpreting that Dublin will be ok. accuweather and MT cranium think so anyway

Little bit of ice on the roads this morning. Not as bad as Decemember but I still passed a few cars that had skidded into each other on it.

One of my favourite cycles into work in a long while. My sister and I leave work at the same time and do the same commute (Ongar to Eastpoint). I cycle, she drives. I rang her when I got into work there and she was only passing the Esso station on the N3! :)

Sickened that I took the Dart to work this morning (NE Dublin to CC), cold but not nearly as icy as some of the mornings I cycled in in December. Bah

No ice on city roads from Rathfarnham to Liffey. The hills had some frost on the roads, had to cut my training session short.

first day this week I didn't get soaked, -1.3 (shed therm), but roads were clear and dry, slicks fine.

Cycled the maiden voyage to work this morning after a 4 week break. Beautiful morning, couldn't tell if there was black ice anywhere due to my new rice krispie tyres - they're incredibly slow, though that might be the new mysterious fat tyre around my waist since Christmas.

Nah, it's something in the 2013 air. My turbo's gone very slow since the Christmas, and my bike seemed to crawl over the sally gap last weekend.
