My order is coming to 123 euro including shipping.

Is everyone paying the customs of 25.95 or selecting the other option?

I just paid it. From any experience I've had with DHL they charge it anyway. They might even add on a fee for doing it.

Don't forget the extra 10% off code.

Have read through this and can't make sense of one issue.
If I spend €101 on that site, what am I going to pay, all in?

    Thanks
    irish

The easiest thing is to just go through the ordering process and find out exactly.
It will be roughly €15 shipping and about €22 tax added on top. So €138.
You can leave out the tax and it's possible that you will get away with it. If not, the courier (DHL) will charge you for it.

So if I want to keep the CC bill low, I can just pay cash customs on arrival?
Will there be a difference in the charge?

    Yep.
DHL might charge you a couple of euro for doing it. I'm pretty sure that they do but someone else might be able to confirm.

I wanted the Teddy damn it!

Did anybody else NOT get the 10% off? I only got about €8 on a €130 order +€45 vat and delivery.

DHL will collect the amount of VAT you owe, plus an additional 2% handling fee.

    I am not 100% but i think
    S Here = XS There
    XL Here = L There.

I think they size, one size smaller than our sizing.

Where did you get that info from?
Any clothes ive gotten from North America (Canaad), has been too small!

So what sizes are people ordering compared to their size here?

Yeah, i got that from another forum.

Small Here = Xtra Small There
Xtra Large Here = Large There.

So a Medium T-shirt on that site would be the equivalent of a Small, i guess.

    Better info here.

    Thanks!

Is your post there Allyall contradictory?

Ive seen that sizechart, but from what ive seen of buying online it is meaningless

I bought a load of clothes in amaerica last year including aeropostale and I am a medium here but had to get a small there. American szes are always bigger in my experience

Yeah the size chart is a bit confusing, unless you know your size, and theirs. :)

No, i don't think so. (It's contradictory) Unless you mean,
I think they size, one size smaller than our sizing.

I think that's right.. They size clothes one size smaller than us..

    I'm confusing myself now :D:confused:

That makes more sense to me, because they are generally bigger. I mean they go up to XXXL or something, don't they?

The code WELR_4GMXP9rA8Nzj not working anymore ? I'm getting "The promotional code you entered was for a single purchase and it has already been used." Any other codes ?

I have found Aeropostale clothes a bit bigger than our sizes. I wouldn't say a whole size bigger though, maybe a half size. ie. our large = aeropostale large/xlarge

wouldn't you just be better off not paying for customs in the hope that you don't get caught? Especially if DHL only charge an extra 2%

Nah, couriers always declare it. There's more of a chance of it slipping through customs if it was An Post.

Do DHL have an office in Cork where you can collect your post if you're not available when they deliver it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,817 ✭✭✭irishproduce

Out of interest if I don't pay the customs is there any chance I'll get away with not paying them at all?

Also, spent €100 but it's not giving me 10% off.
