    Thanks. :)

Are you all Twilighted out now? I never watched any of them, didnt really appeal to me, but I imagine a fan would have had a great time at seeing them all together.

    You're welcome. :)

I am all Twilighted out yep.. It was actually great seeing them all together and it was even better because it was with a whole bunch of other Twilight fans. :)

If they do something similar with The Hunger Games movies I'll definitely go. :D

Were you not wearing red lippy the first time I met ya? I thought it looked stunning on ya. But if I had to pick a decade for you I think it would be the early sixties, - hair up, pencil skirts etc - very Mad Men-esqe.

I love your party dress, Dolbert!!
I wish I could carry off the 1950's kind of look but I look ridiculous in red lipstick. :o

NEVER been to Cork?! If you book train a bit in advance it's not that expensive...*grumble grumble dubs thinking Dublin's the centre of the universe...;)

Edit: you may not actually be a dub. *grumble grumble Cork people and their mad defensiveness against the merest hint of Dublin...

Oh don't worry. She's never seen a sheep either. I am planning on bringing her to Leitrim. I am a trained cardiac first responder so I'll be able to deal with the palpitations and possible heart attack

Ah Cork is lovely, apart from the fact the poxy train station is ages away from Patrick St. It's like a mega long Grafton St and there are loads of fantastic side streets with great shops, cafes, and bars.

Then parallel to Patrick St if Oliver Plunkett St which is a bit more hip than Patrick st, and OMG the English Market if you are into food!

Just don't drive there, you'll end up committed :D

Never seen a sheep? I'm gonna go back to my Dub theory. Feck sake.

I much prefer Cork for shopping and stuff, may not have the same range of shops but much easier to get around, and lotsa nice places for coffee breaks when it gets to be too much! Not biased at all though. :pac:

Not to mention Le Chateaux, mega sized wine portions for small amounts of Euros, and being able to watch the world go by

I'd love a weekend in Cork

    Tonight's bedtime lullaby for James?

    Goldfinger. Complete with actions.

(He was calling it Ball-finger though...)

I was SERIOUSLY considering bringing a small sheep from Galway to show Posy the other weekend, I could have borrowed one. But it was overnight and not fair on the sheep.

The Curragh is heaving with the evil beasts and only 30km from Dubland?

You need to get out more.

I suggest a meetup in Kildare with a mandatory hike for all Dubs on the curragh.

All Culchies and those on crutches will be excluded from avoiding the giant heaps of sheep dung.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 17,231 Mod ✭✭✭✭Das Kitty

You don't even need to leave Dubland to see a sheep. The farms around my Granny's up near the Meath border are riddled with the blighters. They're all well nourished though. Not like the 'real' connemara sheep. All straggly and scrawny. Mutton you'd have to stew for a week to be able to eat.

Me too. But then my car borked and I didn't think they'd let me bring one on the choo choo.

I don't drive so have only seen sheeps passing on the train.
Incidently, €45 return to Cork and it takes almost three hours??! Feck that.
*goes to check out the bus fares*

I would LOVE to see you with a sheep on the train, Lucyfur! :D

€22 return on Aircoach. The problem? Luck of the draw whether you get a pee break on the 3 hour trip or not.
