Just FYI; the team line-ups are available here:
    http://www.ercrugby.com/eng/heinekencup/fixtures/team_line_up.php

    Irish interest:
    • Steenson, Whitten and Hayes for Exeter
    • Vas Artemyev for Northampton (OK, not actually Irish)
    • Tony Buckley for Sale, plus Cillian Willis on the bench.
    • Robin Copeland on the bench for Cardiff
    • Niall Morris starts on the wing for Leicester

Wannerburg starting for Castres against Ulster, Berquist starting for Biarritz, Tommy Seymour starting for Glasgow

strange seeing a Biarritz team without Yachvilli or Iardonarqauy starting

The legal system rather than the rugby authorities should be dealing with that.

First incident isn't clear. Second is pretty clear towards the end of the video.

Whatever about accusing him of gouging in the first incident, I can't see any indication of gouging in the second, which is what causes him to "flip out".

The coach said afterwards his eye was completely bloodshot, so there must have been some pretty severe gouging in there somewhere.

There's no indication of gouging in that incident anyway. A cheap shot off the ball but I don't see gouging. Throw the book at him

Who said the gouging happened during either of those incidents? Pretty sure they would've happened seperate to the bust ups.

The idea that he flipped out / reacted after being gouged is a little more understandable than what the video shows.

Heat of the moment, reactionary to severe pain and or helplessness causing him to strike out.

If he bullocked around the pitch for 3 minutes thinking that he was going to "get" the guy next chance he got, then that's pre-meditation and is far far more serious.

(example - sentences for ; cold blooded vs heat of the moment murder)

It doesn't have to be either of those things.

If you spent the entirety of a game having your eyes poked you would get very wound up. Doesn't mean you are pre-meditating an attack on anyone. Then when you get clocked in the back of the head you flip out. Not because you've been planning to flip out, but because you're furious at what's been going on. The dig was the straw that broke the camel's mental state. Should he have kept his cool? Absolutely, but being able to accept a gouging is not a trait any rugby player should have to develop. You could see from just looking at his eye that something had gone on.

Was the ref told about gouging at all? I'd find it impossible to take Hazells excuse seriously if he claimed he was gouged repeatedly but never mentioned it to the ref or his captain.

Pretty sure Tindall said it to the ref a few times.

Do the three stars on the Toulon jersey indicate top 14 wins?

It'll be some upset if Clermont lose. Between that and the current score in the Leinster match, it just shows the difficulty of this group.

16-13 now and Scarlets down to 14 for the rest of the match

Do you know what Stoddart did to earn those 2 yellows in the same half? Seems like he's let the team down massively

Absolutely, hard to see Scarlets getting anything from the match now.

ERC website says CA penalty try. That's surely curtains for the scarlets just 1 minute into the 2nd half

Try JTH. Some break by Care, he's been so lively all afternoon. Quins have been immense in the second half

Botica converts. What a game he's had!
