I don't mean to be thick, but in what way would you make a men's mag more tasteful and classy?

Well I mean that there's a difference between being sleazy and being tastefully nude. From what I've seen of Playboy it's all just getting everything out and selling it like a piece of meat, but there are some mags that show everything and yet manage to look artistic and beautiful. In the same way that there's a difference between overblown, grossly scripted porn videos and more natural ones.

I think gyrating on a horse in only a pair of string knickers is very undignified.
So you've resigned from the Lady Godiva Fanclub, I take it..;)

What a load of nonsense, it annoys me that she isn't just honest about why she did it i.e. to further her career and earn some money. To my mind, while posing for Playboy is tacky, those are valid reasons for doing it.

You'd just wonder what she gets from it. You're beautiful, you've got endless admiration, presumably loads of money, career opportunities, etc.
As regards motivation and future career opportunities for Rosie D, Playboy has other publications that might show an interest in her. To take one example: "Playboy's Book of Lingerie" (PBOL), which is published about 6 times a year.

The title is a bit misleading (it's a magazine, not a book). And although there's lots of lingerie in every issue, most of it is on the floor:) - or hanging off the models who are, effectively, naked. To that extent, Rosie might be expected to go further than she did last week.

Unlike Playboy magazine proper, PBOL contains no articles or cartoons - just page after page of stunning women who can't keep their kit on. Big-name Playboy favourites like Alley Baggett feature frequently, and the first issue I ever saw had a full-frontal spread of Pamela Anderson. Dita Von Teese appeared on another occasion.

    (I'm a guy, BTW.)

On the question of how mainstream Playboy has become, here's a clip from a Budweiser-sponsored Miss Ring-Card Girl contest at a boxing promotion in the mid-90s (in California) where the guest was a recently-featured Playmate of the Month.

Ah sure forget the fame and fortune aspect, Rosanna is just glad it has helped her overcome her body insecurities...

Have you particular names in mind?

You know what magazine I would actually consider posing for? Bizarre magazine. I fecking love Bizarre (much as it'll probably surprise people here). The women are so strong, sexually vibrant and come in so many different shapes and sizes -- fetish gear, bigger ladies, big boobs and small, tattoos, piercings, whatever. It's gone somewhat downhill in recent years but it always struck me as more genuine, more respectful, intelligent and far less tacky than that open-lipped, rabbit in a headlights sort of conformity that Playboy always had.

I know I'm like a broken record on this thread, but there are so many beautiful Playmate of the Month photos in Playboy's back catalogue.

As a man, yes I would but I'd probably shave my back first.

No! We will not perpetuate this relentless myth that beauty is equal to hairlessness. Embrace your back fuzz in all its glory, Augmerson! Embrace its wonder!

The alternative Justin Timberlake, bringing hairy back (PUN INTENDED!)

Georgia Salpa has been approached by the American version too and kinda said maybe. So that's more than likely yes as a last payday kind of thing, maybe.

I certainly understand how a model with a finite career, even one with qualms about posing topless, could be swayed by the kind of money they would be offered.

Heck, in theory I wouldn't do it but I'm willing to admit for me at least there is probably a difference between being hypothetically offered money and someone standing in front of you with you a bag of cash and a camera.

Actually, now that I think of it, one reason for posing in German Playboy is that I don't think it's not as much of a stigma in some European countries. That would be one reason Heidi Klum was willing to do it.
Any post that mentions Heidi Klum is fine with me :p

Points about weight and conformity remind me of a BBC radio feature last year, when the Playboy Club in London re-opened. Some women who worked as Bunny Girls (cocktail waitresses) in London back in the 1970s were interviewed. They spoke about how strictly monitored they were by the "Bunny Mother" responsible for training, behaviour and performance. The Bunnies were weighed on a regular basis, and any deviation from their recommended weight was likely to earn them the sack.

Failure to master the bunny-dip was also grounds for dismissal - when serving a customer his drink, the dip involved leaning back to ensure a Bunny's cleavage remained in place. D-cup was the minimum bust-line requirement for aspiring Bunnies.

The interview painted a picture of women being physically constrained in those satin corsets and having to watch their every move. No doubt the men who subscribed to the Playboy Club ethos enjoyed the idea of women being controlled and presented in this way.

You're right! God damn it, I'm a hairy-endowned man and I'm not going to take it anymore! *rips off shirt, runs down street, everybody screams in terror*

Hefner does give the impression that he is a bit of a leech if reports are to be believed that he still has sex with women in their 20s.

I can't believe her Dad was 'incredibly supportive'. That kind of freaks me out. My father would rather shoot me in the head than see my t1ts all over some lads mag for all the world to see. I'm laughing even imagining what his reaction would be.

Trashy as it is, she does look amazing and I've a feeling it's going to launch a UK and/or US career for her, much like her lovely Salpa friend. I'd say that's what she was aiming for. That and the 'six figure sum'.

And to answer the question, if I had three or four months to get into the shape of my life I probably wouldn't be averse, not that my say would matter as I'd be disowned/dumped/defriended before I'd have a chance to even consider:D

If your friends disowned you for that, they don't deserve to be your friends:o

Yes he does, in fact he has quite a few.

Rosanna Davison was quoted as saying what an honour it would be for her to meet Hefner and that it would be a dream come true to visit the "grotto".

Sure I'm sure Heffner taught Daddy everything he knows aka how to seduce the teenage nanny. Freud would have a field day on this one.

When she talked about visiting the "grotto" maybe she meant "grotty"?
