    Speaking of Pancakes!

    Egg is the glue :D

If you're talking about the recipes that use mashed banana instead, I'm not a fan of them at all.

No, it was a different recipe, no bananas.

I believe the banana ones have no flour, but still have egg... no use to me I'm afraid!

You could try a chia or flax egg instead. Not sure how well it would work in pancakes but worth a try.

Overnight oats: oats, natural yoghurt, raspberries, honey, and a splash of milk this morning to loosen it up.

    Strawberries for tomorrow.

Sorry about the brightness, but the sun was beating down on us and so was a bit difficult to make out what was on the screen.

Anyway, went in for the full breakfast in Avoca just off the Naas Road this morning on our way past.

Sausages and bacon with creamy scrambled eggs, roasted sweet tomatoes, bit of leafy salad and toasted cheesy bread with chutneys and butter.

Served with a big cup of coffee, and enjoyed outside on a sunny morning overlooking the saggart hills.

    Bliss.

It is also distinctly meh, but a handy vehicle for ferrying things into your mouth when you can't have actual, delicious bread products.

This looks amazing! How have I never come across a banana Dutch baby before?! Can you share your recipe?

I made alton brown's recipe, scaled to one person, only cooked for ~10min@220°C. The banana got sliced and thrown into the pan after the butter was sizzling but before the batter.

    Thread needs a bump! :)

I've been having a homemade smoothie for breakfast for the past couple of months. It's really satisfying having it when on the way into work in the car.

    Liquid - almond milk (~250ml)
Frozen fruit - banana (~50g) and berries or pineapple (~100g)
Frozen veg - spinach or kale (~20g)
Nut butter - peanut or almond (~15g)
    Whey protein - unflavored (~25g)

The smoothie had a nice balance of carbs, good fats and protein. The use of frozen fruit means that no ice is required. Using almond milk and whole fruit means that it's not loaded with tonnes of sugar and has some fibre too.

Back training again (the heatwave beers and BBQs have taken their toll) so will had a breakfast of diced tomatoes and fresh spinch cooked in the pan with a bit of cumin added - served with fried (or more aptly steamed ) eggs with some cottage cheese with a dash of cayenne pepper sprinkled on top.

    Miles tastier than you'd imagine.

STILL thinking of this morning's masterpiece: two slices of toasted sourdough, with a quick run of a fresh cut garlic clove over, and a few drops of grease from the crispy bacon slices that went on next... sliced half avocado on top of each, a little extra salt and for sweetness some maple syrup. Ate it at 11, haven't been hungry again all day!!!

Best part of today the week :o until this evening's welcome home sundowner with himself :D
