It reads like something out of the Waterford whispers

Got a good laugh at it.

No surprises here. Said it very early into their stint as administrators that these guys are dodgy but too little too late for Rangers sake

It seems to be the season for "I Can't Believe It's Not Satire" style pieces.

The Telegraph (Spit) believes that Regan has "led to the rise of Scottish football" and the FA should be speaking to him....

Surprised there's no mention of the Hearts game in here, given that there's usually a running commentary of every goal against the likes of Alloa etc..

Can you turn it around? Second place not good enough, last thing you want is a play off. And more importantly, just how long can McCoist last in that job? Given that Rangers probably have the best players in that league man for man, the problem clearly lies with the manager.

You'll notice their desire to discuss football peaks whenever the ugly side of their club is being discussed. Although maybe it's hard to differentiate right now :pac:

Aside from the result, the performance and behaviour of The Rangers players was a disgrace. Could have had 3 or 4 red cards and I don't think the lads here would disagree either - hopefully for their sake they are concerned with this sort of carry on.

Although maybe that concern is mitigated by the head of the SFA coming out and once again expressing how much he/they want this Rangers club to succeed. They've long given up what little pretence of impartiality they ever had. Still, good for the bears to hear something reassuring these days.

Paul the reason on my part was simple I was busy with other things in my life as for jelle I don't know and it is really only the two of us who ever post in here now.
Watching the game after the fact it was pretty clear to see our managed was clueless his subs made no sense he is inept as a manager and as long as he is in charge we will struggle to come back from this position. We should have had another two players sent off at least in miller and Boyd our dicipline was disgraceful.
As for our off field saga's I reckon they will run for a long time yet with I believe more arrests will follow the four already made as this is the tip of the Iceberg.

I see Lawell felt the need to talk about us at the tic AGM I don't know why I don't believe anyone has asked for help also as for the SFA and Lawells puppet after Lawell speaking it came as no surprise when his puppet spoke. Funny I don't remember Rangers asking for help from that bunch

It's because when one of the 2 biggest clubs in Scottish football goes into liquidation it is quite a big deal - you seem to constantly struggle in understanding that. It has cost Celtic £10m a year in revenue, now you have to understand that at a proper club where business is conducted in a proper fashion, financial factors such as that will be mentioned in an AGM because intelligent fans demand answers they don't just froth at the mouth over everything and trash the place.

Hope that's cleared it up for you.

A bit like how Celtic fans dont drop in to discuss games when the win?

As for the bolded part thats all very high horse. PLenty of derby games in the past have gone the very same way

It would be high horse if I didn't prefer our players to be skilful than thugs. And as for the first part of your post, not sure what it's in response to sorry.

What did Lawwell say? I didn't read any of the reports about the AGM so it's a genuine question. Any links?

Other than the mention of the £10m loss in revenue, the only other utterance was when asked about Strachan's claims that Scottish football should once again try bending over backwards to manipulate The Rangers into the top league - to which Lawwell said no.

In fact, some supporters expressed their frustration that Lawwell & the Club don't do more to fight the Big Myth surrounding the newco, but were given the answer that Celtic just look to keep their house in order and let others worry about their own.

That's what I was wondering i.e. are certain fans thinking that the mere mention of "Rangers" - regardless of context - is some sort of sign of obsession!!

Well Strachan is well off the mark imo, rules are rules and I'd not want special treatment if Celtic were in that position. I'd imagine most Rangers fans are the same on that score.

Celtic have had there thugs in there time and a glasgow derby spat out rougher games than Hearts V Rangers on Sunday, a few of the aways games I went too at Tynside for Celtic spat out a lot similar.

With regards my first part, your calling out the Gers fans for not coming in to talk about football when then lose, I'm simply saying your only keen to talk football when they lose.

Then your post goes on to say they are a disgrace and the SFA show favourtism towards them, is there any reason they wont engage you in discussion

Strachan is just calling out for what now suits him, he's Scotland manager now so suits him for them to be back as quick as possible.

Just shows how fickle these football folk are

Why does it suit him? Most of his squad play in England and the proverbial 'strong Rangers' only serves to damage the prospect of youth players coming through other clubs in Scotland.

Of course it suits him, he is the national manager of Scotland. Having the strongest league possible increases the chances of Scotish players on average playing in a better more competitive league

But for the vast majority of clubs, Scottish football is now more competitive than it was 5 years ago. In fact that is true for every single club bar 2.

The finances and standards of most other clubs in the top flight has improved in the past 2 years.

What ever about the finances, do you really think the standard has improved?

I dont from what I watch its a few notches down, Celtic themselves have dropped a level. I can't wait until, Hibs, Hearts and Rangers are back

So are you trying to convince yourself Rangers have no intelligent fans or do you actually believe it. Lawell plays to the mob at your agm it is easy to see he. Lets face it with your stadium half empty every week and Lawell admitting he is missing us that tells a story in itself.
You say we only want to talk football when we are winning utter crap over this season I have posted a few rotten results for us. Also I don't remember you coming into talk football no matter what so please get off that high horse I would hate it if you fell.

    It's Lawwell.

What exactly did he say that upsets you so?

He's got his narrative for the Celtic fans, he's explaining Celtic's financial policy to them from his viewpoint. I don't agree with him 100%, I reckon Celtic should spend earlier on the Summer if possible. He's saying with no Rangers club in the SPL it's costing Celtic and others money in terms of revenue. Where he came up with the 10 million figure would be interesting to see.

I think he's correct to say rules should not be bent to ensure The Rangers are catapulted into the top flight in the event of failure to get promoted this season. Is that the comment you mean when saying he plays to the mob?

Anyway, should be talking about Peter Lawwell on the Celtic thread I reckon, you should really have other things on your mind re your club rather than what Pete has to say about yis.

But there actually was a thread about the game itself.

Mind you it was as started after the game and if I recall the only contributions were from Celtic fans.

Which I think says something about both sets of fans.
