I wonder were they singing Mystic Lipstick as they were taking the bell?

"Do not take in a bell" that's a warning sign on the way into mountjoy

Most scrap dealers wouldn't give a flying fúk about the bell.

This has now officially become an episode of "who do you think you are?"

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

Did Joe just say "let the gay ness begin"?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

Those listenership figures are our fault ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,090 ✭✭✭RadioRetro

And we're done for a week full of humdrum, inane crap. Joe better get his act together next week or he may lose one of those extra listeners he picked up in the latest JNLR.

    Have a good weekend all.

I read that one of the people campaigning for access to the cancer fighting drug 'ippi' sadly died today.
Cue for a week of in depth misery on the lavhline.

I read that too and instantly thought of this thread. Slightly worrying that! :o

It's awful that the person died but god this'll be a boring week on Liveline topped off by (un)Funny Friday

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,072 ✭✭✭le la rat

I laughed when someone wrote on the last thread that he would get a week out of the history letters. But you did it Joe. If only talking bs was an olympic sport we would be guranteed a medal.

It'll give Joe another excuse to jump in the Tardis again, and avoid discussing anything topical... The show is so innocuous at this stage they should just pack it in...

I remember listening to that lady who died, Cathy was her name. Her phone call really resonated with me. She was so strong and positive, even though you could hear in her voice she was devastated at the thought of leaving her young kids behind. I know this will mean that there will be talk again of dying on Monday, but I think anything that shines a light on our shameful heath system is a good thing. For the ill in Ireland It is literally death by a thousand (health) cuts. Also anything that keeps Joe from talking about model trains is a blessing for us all.

    Why is it shameful?

And another person on the news just there, she has an unusual condition that she can't get treatment for here in Ireland. So it will probebly be a miseryfest of death and disease today I'd say.

Who's presenting the News at One ?

Tuned in a few minutes ago and thought it was D'Omen for a moment. :o

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,090 ✭✭✭RadioRetro

If last week is anything to go by, Joe will have items entirely divorced from any current news.

I feel sorry for Peter Fitzpatrick... If only the Croke Park refs afforded the use of video technology to adjudicate on the validity of ALL dubious scores, and not just those that inhibit the progress of the Dublin football team, they would have had a Leinster title..
