Anyone give me advice on this team.

    De Gea

    A. Cole, Vidic, Zabaleta,

    Yaya Toure, Bale, Walters, Ireland

    Pog, Torres (C), Aguero

Subs: Jaaskelainen Joe Allen Cuellar Clyne

    My worries are that,

    1) I have too much money tied up in defence. What I was going for was the defences I thought that would be least leaky to try and pick up points that way.

    2) That that midfield looks a little light. Is 8m too much for Yaya when he may just play a holding role? Will Ireland play more advanced role and get a few assists and goals. Is Joe Allen worth a punt from the start?

    3) I like to play a 3-4-3 so with that in mind is Pog good enough to keep a spot week in week out or barring the DGW is he just bench fodder.

    Any help would be great

    1) Defo too expensive

    2) Upgrade with money saved in defence - Joe Allen = No - I wouldn't have Ireland.

    3) Bit of a wait and see, alright for week 1 though.

This squad gives me a bank of 3.5:eek: which i am more than pleased with as i will need that amount for my forward upgrades when we see how Utd line up.

Future transfers, A Cole to Rafael Frederici to ??? in GW3

    Very nice!
Personally I would make just a few changes.

If Dembele plays as a striker or in the hole well then he could be good but I would go for Nolan at the same price.

al hamadi is a defensive midfielder so I would change him. there are others for that price which will get you points.

VDV is just risky IMO. Way to injury prone. Bale is a much better option as he is reliable.

If you change them 3 it would be you'd be sorted!

It's really starting to flake out alright.

Going with the following team tomorrow:

    Jaaskelainen

    Gorkss
    Lescott
    A.Cole
    ----Noble
    Y.Toure
    Bale
    Hazzard

    Pogrebnyak
    Aguero
    Torress

Subs: Begovic, Nelson, Simpson & Miyachi

Leaves 2m in the bank and some flexibility depending on how things pan out with Torres, Aguero/Tevez and Rooney/RVP.

Dembele--With Dempsey now out of favour i think he could be more advancd though it is guesswork at the min, likely Ruiz could be used in the hole as well so we will see
VDV---With Spurs having just one striker atm he will play second striker role for a bit taking penalties as well,so hopefully he will work out,i see your point though
Al hamadi---Total stab here as he will be a bench player, shall see how he works out or may change him...Guthrie perhaps......

Boswinga has signed for QPR which may limit Fabio's game time. Front line looks very potent tho.

Final draft.....maybe. Still undecided on Lallana, would Ireland be a better option? Any ideas? May not get the chance to change now as site seems to be banjaxed.

You could swap gibbs for Kompany with that money . You would have no budget left though .

Thanks, the original plan was to ditch Torres after GW1 and bring in Rooney, not sure what to do now. Will need Man Utd attacking cover one way or another I suppose.

Have 2.5 in the bank and my head is wrecked. Any suggestions?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,927 ✭✭✭G1032

    My head is fried here........

Looking for a defender/midfielder combo as my last two picks

    Cuellar + Ireland
    or
    Clyne + Michu

I have Clyne + Michu in at the moment. Cuellar will be on the bench anyway and might as well have a 4m player on the bench in Clyne as a 4.5m player in Cuellar
But I have this feeling that Ireland will bang in the points this season and while Michu is a goal threat he might need time to adapt to the premiership..............

    Head. Is. Fried.

    Here's what I'm going with for GW1:

    Federici
    Jose Enrique - Cole A - Lescott
Yaya Toure - Mata - Kagawa - Allen
    Pogrebnyak - Bent - Torres (c)
    Bench:
de Gea - Walters - Demel - Clyne

This leaves me with £1M in the banks to fund:confused: swapping out some Chelsea and Reading players ahead of GW3.

    Feedback and comments welcome!!

    Team for GW 1 atm.

    Krul
    Cole,Clichy,Hangeland
    Noble,Kagawa,Mata,Yaya
    Torres(C) Aguero,Prog

    Ruddy,Simpson,Ireland,Clyne

Dont know if to go with two 4.5m keepers giving me cash in the bank for
upgrades or just leave the team alone

Guys tell me where im going wrong?:p RVP is he worth being in there at 13.0? Thanks in advance.

    Krul
    Harte, A Cole, Hangeland, Fabio
    Hazard, Kagawa, Noble,
    Torres(c) RVP, Pogrebnyak

    Subs Al-Habsi, Rafael, Allen, Dembele

    Federici
    ----Zabaleta - Cole - Hangeland
    Arteta - Sinclair - Silva - Santi - Hazard
    Torres (c) - Pog

Happy with that. Crouch is leading the bench ahead of Fabio and Clyne

I dunno about RVP being worth 13mil. Weren't they saying he might not even play the full 90 this week?

Also, can't see his price rising much more than that

Im going to try and get RVP in for GW 2,if he can re create his Arsenal form he
will be a must have in this years game, could be on the set pieces as well, well worth 13m imo

Hey lads, away on hols with sporadic access to the internet, so would appreciate as much feedback as possible on this team...will try to get online tomorrow.

Will probably do my usual gw3 wildcard. Starters for gw1 in bold.

    Federici - Begovic
    Ivanovic - Zabaleta - Jenkinson - Clyne - Demel
    Michu - Yaya - Mata - Siggurdsson - Noble
    Tevez - Graham - Torres

Will have 3.0 in bank for Torres to RVP gw2.

My only real dilemma is Yaya/Kagawa and Siggurdsson/Corzola (sic).

    Again, all opinions welcome!

    Night all!

Extremely similar to mine so can't be too much wrong with it! I've gone for Hazard + Cole over Mata + Ivanovic, Bale instead of Siggy, Kompany instead of Zabaleta and I'm starting Noble ahead of Michu. The basic blueprint is the same though. GW3 wildcard is my plan too.

My team - 0.0 in bank.

    Federici - De Gea

    Kompany - A.Cole - McCartney - A.Williams - Clyne

    Yaya - Hazard - Bale - Noble - Michu

    Tevez - Torres - Pogrebnyak

If I had your 3.0 in the bank I'd have Aguero over Tevez.

Right this is the team I've settled on (until the morning of course).

    What d'yall think?

    de Gea Cerny

Cole A(V), Kompany, Hangeland Mariappa, Clyne

    Whitehead, Allen, Valencia, Sinclair Britton

    Cisse, Torres(C), Van Persie

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

    Team for Gw1
    Cech
    zabelata R nelsen Verthonghen
    lampard gerrard dyer noble
    tevez rooney torres (capt)
Subs Jaaskelinen Clyne Demel El Ahmadi
Going to play wildcard Gameweek 4
Lampard out next week and bring in either siggy or Vdv 2 nice fixture coming up.
Torres out gameweek 3 options bent jelavic or whoever hits form.

The risk is lampard wont play twice but you could say the same about all chelsea mids and he is on penos.

Not a bif gan of this team myself- two many risky players-
    Defence- Solid
Mid- Will have average of 2 every week- whitehead, allen, sinclair, Valencia big fan of but could ned up RB
Cisse better value- Pog/ Gragam, Torres C= Yes. RVP- will lose lot set pieces and see how United shape up just think too many if's and very risky

Keep it. Looks like a good team, and at this hour any changes you make will probably haunt you for the first half of the season.
