I used to use Fruity Loops and Reason a lot back in college. Great pieces of software.

Since when do students pay for software?!

In college we had discs with useful software 'accidentally' left all around the studios.

I use Adobe Audition in work. Mostly for multitrack editing. But I've made crappy music for radio plays in it as well.

Looking like Disney and Capcom might start remastering their retro catalogue. We're getting one anyway.

Thumbs up for this! a great piece of software and easy to use the basic's, recorded lots of demos with this and found it as good and easier to use than cubase. What ya put in time wise is what ya get out in general. Audacity aint bad for a freeware program either.

The problem with Duck Tales is, how many of todays kids even remember the toon?
Same goes for Gummi Bears, great shows to be sure but haven't been aired, on regular rotation, in over a decade or two, no?

Who cares, the fact that it really should have happened is something that should be celebrated :)

I used to play the hell out of DuckTales on Gameboy back in the day. Along with Darkwing Duck. I never played the console ports though.

Also, any excuse to break out the Brentalfloss!

This is a really depressing trailer (ignore the German). At first it is 'hey, look, Final Fantasy X - the last pretty decent one - is coming back!'. But then, they deliver the cruel punchline - 'And Final Fantasy X-2 too, because **** you'.

It's always one step forward, ten steps back with that franchise!

It still looks really pretty after all these years. I'm sure the HDness helps and all, but still.

That series has been in decline title after title for so long now :(

FFx-2 isn't a bad game, in fact it's pretty good. The battle system is great, just ignore the fact that the story and characters are beyond stupid. The only big thing letting it down is the fact that you can miss so much if you arne't using a faq.

FF X is awful. I was so excited about that game when it came out :(

Gave up on the series at that point. Dipped my toe back in for XIII and had my previous opinions cemented. Crap series with a few great games which blew te series out of proportion.

There's certainly things to like about FFX, but it definitely was the beginning of the franchise's decline in many ways. The extremely po-faced storytelling / bland setting / lack of compelling characters are easy targets, and the game's more linear structure until almost the post-game was pre-empting the unforgivable time wasting of FFXIII's opening half. And the Dark Aeons must be the one of single stupidest design errors in RPG history. I never got Blitzball either. Still playable and with lots of good moments, but it definitely was the first time I found myself less than completely engrossed. The PS1 entries were really formative games for me when I was a kid / early teen - they really offered a depth of design and gameplay I had never experienced before - but I really hate the way the franchise has gone in the last decade or more.

The Dark Aeons were only in the PAL version and the later international release of the game and yes they did manage to kill the end game quests for me.

Rikku - "Don't tell anyone you're from Zanarkand, okay?" "Yevon says it's a holy place. You might upset someone."
Wakka - "You're no amateur. Who you play for?"
    Tidus - "The Zanarkand Abes!"

I'm not sure I first saw them on Ebay years back, think around the time Playmore aquired the rights to SNK games. I'm not a fan of that style of packaging as I think it looks cheap but if you're buying it to play it that wouldn't matter so around 50 would be a good price for a new console with a few games.

Well here's a kickstarter I think any retrogame lover needs to put money towards. This kickstarter is for the revival of Retronauts podcast, not only the best podcast out there about retro games but hands down the best videogame related podcast around. With the closure of 1up the future of the podcast was looking shaky but fingers crossed this kickstarter will get them back on the air.

That's a nice selection of games too, Pacman is very nice on the machine, pity the blister pack edition doesn't come with the 4 way restrictor for the thumbstick though.
But €50 is a great price, separately the machine and games might go for more, although "technically" they are all unboxed.

It's a good bunch of games, I got that golf game with mine when they launched and couldn't put it down. Great mix of games in that pack, there was a nice lot on Adverts a while back and it sold for 50 including post. It had the proper packaging and they were loose carts in the little plastic cases. How much are the looking for the blister pack?

I only ran into one Dark Aeon myself. He was the electric guy with the horn (kinda like the zebstrika from pokemon) and he annihilated my team in seconds. I avoided him when I retried.

There's a few areas in the game that are completely blocked off by Dark Aeons making some important side quests impossible unless you level like crazy or cheat with that summon with the one hit kills everything move.
