I apologise if this has been mentioned before in this thread or the other one, but when I click on my profile it says I've 9585 posts, but when I click on Statistics and find all posts it says I have 9338 posts?

Further, if I select a timescale, like last week (i.e. find all posts by me in the last week) it finds none.

Very strange.

Firefox 11 is my browser if it's of any help.

Ever since I updated to the new look I have to log in twice to get logged in.

Like I log in, and it just brings me back to the home page without having logged in. Then when I click on the log in button again to log in I get logged in.

Very strange.

Ive tried loggin in on Internet Explorer and Google chrome. the same thing happens on both browsers.

any suggestions on how to fix it? is it just me? or is it some sort of bug due to the switchover?

many thanks for any help/advice!

It's most likely not anything you're doing. As part of the switch over to the new skin we completely changed our registration and login processes and it's likely there are some kinks.

Can I ask what operating system you're using and what you're network set-up is like? (e.g. are you using any caching proxies, or firewalls)

Can you confirm that you get the same behaviour in Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Im not the most tech savvy so I hope Im answering your questions correctly...

Im using Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit Operating system.

I have no idea what a caching proxy is.

I have an active windows firewall and also a firewall on my Avast internet security program.

Our network is wireless. If you need anything answered in more detail id be happy to help if you tell me where to look to answer!

and yeah, the same thing happends in Internet explorer and chrome.

I must try logging in from a public pc at college tomorrow to see if it works....

I sometimes get a notification that a thread is unread just after I post in it. When I check the thread, it's marked my post as an unread post?

This may be down to my connection being slow though, it's just I've never noticed it on the old skins.

Yeah, I've gotten that occasionally for ages and ages tbh, old and new skins alike. Very occasionally mind you, but consistently.

Thanks for the tip, I'll use that switch around.

I had all options selected in appearance settings though switching them off hasn't unfortunately changed the appearance.

Whats weird is that the login screen is the only screen that appears as normal. When logged out the main screen looks weird (same as when logged in) though switching to the login screen and everything returns to as it was before, then changes again after logging in!

Just wanted to update on this.

Logged in this morning and new skin working perfectly again!

Cheers for your help lads (and for whatever ye did in the background!)

My notifications are back showing I have two unread threads.
It was fixed for a few hours this morning but then went back to the way it was.

• Subscribers Posts: 19,425 ✭✭✭✭Oryx

Apologies if this has been asked:

In My Forums tab, if I hover over each forum name it tells me when it was last posted in, and whether there are unread threads. Which is brill. But most of the time the last posted figure is something like '-6754 secs ago' instead of minutes and hours. If it is more than an hour it sometimes says 2 hours ago, or whatever.

Is this me or is this you?

Type: Bug

Issue: Can't move threads to a different forum. I selected 4 threads and clicked on "move threads" - the drop down menu with the list of forums where they could be moved does not appear

Browser & OS: Opera, Android phone - samsung galaxy ii

Not sure if you got this but moderation on the new skin is a bit more difficult on my phone - I tried to move threads, merge threads and approve threads in the last few weeks and it didn't really work

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Even with it disabled in Appearance Settings, the sticky header keeps sticking on my iPad, requiring a log out to fix.

Sorry I haven't read the while thread; where's that option?

I used to find any post responses that I needed to respond to in turn by doing a search for "later12" & clicking newest first. All recent responses would show up; unfortunately this no longer happens, but is there a new alternative?

apologies if this has been addressed before, im not that tech smart and might not have realised.

When im using split screen function on windows, and try and scroll to the right or left, the bar on the top doesnt scroll across. IE cant see the notifications tab or of the forum tabs past region. Is there a way around this??

Hey...

A sort of solution would be to unstick the header (in the Appearance Settings).
Can't guarente it will fully solve the issue though.
As previously mentioned, the site was designed to work to a min width of 955px, below this really isn't a supported resolution, nor something we can promise to resolve.

I'll check with the guys in the morning if there's another possible fix, but for for the moment, unsticking the header should help (though I've noticed some slight rendering issues at a similar resolution)

There are a couple of issues at play. For now though, disabling the sticky header will allow the header to scroll to the left and right. There is a small issue with the background colours for content that's only visible when scrolling to the right.

Can you define 'weird' in words or with perhaps a screen shot?

I'm thinking this has to be an issue with your own machine as if I'm not mistaken we've not made any changes to the style, especially font definitions, since before you reported your issue.

Can you press CTRL+U and copy everything between <head> and </head> and paste it into a
...

block :)

Yeah that's what I was thinking too but it had been working for around a week - no changes to this machine afaik.

I'm using IE8 so CTRL+U didn't work, but figured you were after the source

Sorry if this has been asked before; I've been noticing this problem on-and-off since the switch to the new skin.

The Thunderdome does not always appear in the drop down menu. This only happens occasionally; and I noticed it happening most recently just now. It should be right below where The cuckoo's nest is (and no, if you click on the arrow beside TCN, it just shows FlirTar, a sub-forum of TCN.

Any ideas? Is it me or you? I'm always using Safari if it makes any difference.

Log out and log back in the next time it happens, that should resolve it. It's us :)

yep, happens to me too. on internet explorer on a pc.

It's an issue we're trying to solve at the moment. Had it myself today, went and then came back.
Just wanted you to know it's been looked at! :-)

Hi Lads and Lassies glad to see that the old skin is still available as I said in myother 3 posts in the feedback thread I cannot with the new skinclose/delete/merge etc when using the new skin

You said you tested it and it worked for you but its not working for me

At the time I was using XP Pro so over the weekend I upgraded to Windows 7Pro and still the same thing

Its is making it difficult for me to function as a mod if all the tools Ishould have at my disposal are not there for me when using the new skin

I would prefer to use the new skin but I am happy as long as the old one isstill available to me and everything works for me
Not sure if you got this but moderation on the new skin is a bit more difficult on my phone - I tried to move threads, merge threads and approve threads in the last few weeks and it didn't really work

Hi guys - have you looked at this problem moderators are having?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
