I hear Leicester Tigers are lining up Billy Dardis as a replacement for Geordan Murphy

Probably being offered a Leinster Academy position for next Season I reckon

    Leinster not Leicester.

In anyway fair play if its true

I'd agree with this statement as from what I've seen he's a level above the rest.

I think going to Leicester would be a mistake for him as he'd learn a lot more joining the Leinster Academy who have a proven track record of bringing through young backs (even if they dont stay long term) and seeing as he now won't have Conway, Carr in front of him and Isa wont be around too much longer he will get gametime once he's ready.

However, he isnt afraid to jump ship if it suits him so I wouldnt be shocked if he did move over if Leicester offered him more (coming from a still bitter Newbridge College former pupil ;) )

A massive void has opened up in Leinster for a young talented back to blaze a trail through, so I'm looking forward to seeing a few of the prospects being given a run out over the next couple of seasons. There's no question that there's an abbundance of top class young talent around Leinster youth systems, now it's just a question of unearthing and nurturing a couple of really special players.

They may not be any of the academy lads at the moment, but there's serious raw talent in Leinster schools.

The current crop are the '94s and '95s aren't they?

Lads who don't remember a world without pro rugby. Lads who grew up watching actually decent Irish teams. Lads who probably don't even remember a world before the first irish H Cup win!

    Could mean something...

This will be in a newspaper article before the weekend, stolen like so many other of our quotes.

Great interview. Refreshing to hear that level of casual insight.

Funny that in the last section he basically said the captaincy had the exact opposite effect on him than the reason it was taken from him. That's fairly clear cut.

I also find it interesting how much he praises joe whenever he can. When was the last time he did that for Kidney?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

It's a pretty subtle denunciation of kidney alright.

However there is Also a suggestion that the coaching issues have been resolved of late with the right personnel in place finally.

But his little detail in the strategy etc were fascinating.

Is 1 BOD 1999 or 1980? And do the numbers go up as you go backwards like BC?

Just so there is no confusion for whoever writes the article....

So much for EOM being fit. I give up on these updates.

Also delighted that Conway is starting. Some of the stuff being spouted on the online fora was ridiculous.

    HVDM benched
    DK at FB
    Toner out
    Isa out

Tough game, a lot of experimentation
Hopefully Bent can play well in that front row with Cullen and Denton behind.
Not overly optimistic even though Cardiff have been poor this season overall.

EOM becoming the new Fitzgerald.. hopefully when he does come back it will be with the same form as Fitzy

Also a shame not to see Moore involved, Hagan and Bent look limited

No Isa? Must be on holidays! :D
