Saw that up on their Facebook page. Beautiful pic. I assume he had a special lights rig, and didn't just use his car headlights

I had the pleasure of playing Fota (Deerpark) during the week. I was first on the timesheet and got going at first light. There wasn't a sinner on the course apart from the green keepers the wildlife and I, sheer bliss!

The course is in beautiful condition for this time of the year, I enjoyed every minute of it:)

The 12th in Carne was a Par 3 when I played it, but it was probably one of the new 9 that was in action.
Is the normal 12th along the coast? The 11th is well inland and the 13th is a long treck from tee to green until the sea comes into view.

That photo of Ballybunion looks a little like the 12th in The European.

Just played 9holes at home on a lovely fresh decembers day. Cant beat a few holes on your own. Winter golf isn't all bad.

Played it a couple of weeks ago, not sure which courses tho. I had a run of 5 holes at 3 under, so i will always remember that. A bit unsure of which holes we should have been playing, so it lost a bit from that.

Yea course is a mix of old course & new 9 for the winter. Few wks ago it was newtown 9 which the 1st hole is down the hill frm proshop narrow par4 1st hole finish on lovely par3 9th & then onto 12th of the old course thru to 18th. This wk its old course 1-7 10-11 & then newtown 9. How did u find the greens?? Real let down for me as a member they just cant get them right..

Sounds like the first, may have been 3 weeks ago. Greens, we presumed there was some sort of treatment going on, or a disease taking hold? In fairness, we had played Dungarvan in the morning, so a bit spoiled before we arrived.

They had the greens in good order all summer & then made a balls of them. Tbf dungarvans greens are always in perfect condition all yr round.

Not sure how 'golf image' related this is, but it'll sure make for some interesting speculation in Ireland... depending on how true it turns out to be.

Corballis today, can be really picturesque.

I'd have gotten better ones but generally the only time I got a decent view I was ontop of some grass mountain and the bag was 3km away or at the Tee Box
