You can tell that the car has protection on it, but the beading isnt the best - what product is that, and what did you do before applying it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,002 ✭✭✭mad m

Well its new car, washed 2 bucket method, rinsed, clayed, washed again and dried and then put Collinite 845 on it once. Now the car was covered in that bloody sand again of late so maybe it had something to do with it.

Give it a wash, dry and 2nd coats of Collinite and see how you get on!
Strange that the Collinite didnt perform better, even with just one coat. Hmmm??

Do you have to wait for a while to apply second coat of Collinite or once its buffed start to apply again?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Curran

Usually about 30 mins is enough, once its not humid or dew is starting to set in, in the evening.

See that could of been it, when i was doing it couple weeks back, it was nearly 8pm when I put it on so was racing against light.

If I correct in assuming that you put collinite on it a couple of weeks ago,
Not washed it since and has grime on it
and took the pics after the couple of weeks then that could look correct.
Wash it and sprinkle water on it and compare the results.

OAC Perfection on the windscreen....not bad for spray on, wipe off with the wipers. Should see 3/4 weeks of that beading.

My girlfriend did a great job t-cutting and waxing her new (to her) Astra TwinTop at the weekend. Got up the next morning to see some lovely beading going on. :D
