    Nipped into Balbriggan market.
Lots of ps3, 360 and wii games, but little I wanted.
    However
I did pick up Tekken 6, Motorstorm Apocalypse and Uncharted 2, for 3 euro all together!
They are promo discs but the seller thought they were demo discs!
    Score!
Nothing retro here at all, besides some Xboxes, a ratty ps1 and too many copies of Fifa and Pro Evo.

Wow, that's a good price for a complete Super Aleste in good condition, I love that game .

I'm thinking about grabbing some of my favourite Super Famicom games back again as I sold the whole lot years ago....:(

Yeah very good price, considering it's boxed etc. Really have to pick that & Super SWIV up again. I had them in PAL form & traded them for some boxed Gameboy Micro goodness a while back

Harvey Norman in Carrickmines are having a 10 year birthday sale.

There are some PS3 / Nintendo DS games in their bargain bins that they're trying to get rid of. Most of it is shovelware but I picked up a brand new copy of Band Hero for PS3 for €2.

They had a few copies of it left as of 5pm last night, might be worth the trek.

Don't get the PAL version of Super Aleste. They sped up the music for the PAL version but not the speed of the game so it's awful when played in NTSC.

Why d'ya think I traded it on ;) I'd be after the NTSC-J version of that game with the extra cutscenes etc

Last night I bid on a minty Super Ghouls and Ghosts Japan version, it was still at about € 30,- so I sniped € 40- in the last couple of seconds but to no avail as it went for almost € 70,-

    Snipers galore

The hell? That game is definitely not worth anything near 70. Probably 2 snipers there that wanted it badly.

Just picked up Guitar Hero Aerosmith and a guitar, ps3 version, for 20.
What I really want is Rock Band: Beatles though, and GS didn't have, it's normally less than a tenner though. I'll find it.

Pick up Band Hero on the cheap for €2 in harvey norman while yer at it.

I have beatles rock band on ps3 too. Fantastic if you're a beatles fan. The dreamscapes in the later videos are fantastic although they can be incredibly distracting.

    GH3 is also a must-buy

I had Band Hero in times past but simply had no where to store it, plus the drumkit wasn't much fun.
I'll pick up the various GH and RB titles now as I see them, they're typically cheap as chips now.
The Van Halen set looks cool, perfect for an 80s teen like me.

I picked it up for a fiver in cex so I'm sure you'll find it there.

Finally got a new neogeo main board yesterday and a component cable for the PS2.
Got the neogeo from AO all the way from Italy and its a tiny one!NO socket bio but I never used that anyway.

Have to say the PS2 looks great on my 50" lcd (I know,I know!)
It looked like ****e via the red, white and yellow.
Have it running via my AV receiver so I think its up-scaling it too.
Played a bit of dodonpachi dai-ou-jou to test it out.

Need a PS2 fightstick badly now

    NIce!
what did you have to do to it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,154 ✭✭✭CathalDublin

New computer(well dual core old one I had spare), a few hours or trial and error trying to find a driver for the touchscreen as there is no brand on it, the zytronic site hasn't got the correct drivers in their download section. even emailed Herondata who originally did the conversions on these machines and they were no help, found the driver on some companies ftp server, no idea how I even came across the site.
Touchjams the software I installed cost me $20usd
The coin validator will be the tricky part, I may need to install an iPac because the encoder in there at the moment is some custom POS.
So total spend so far €70

You did well, is this a find from that recent jukebox auction that was posted about on here?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,154 ✭✭✭CathalDublin

Don't think so, got it from Mitch, although he did have another CD one. It definitely came from Ireland as it has paddy power slips inside and beer mats for Smithwicks
Was a gamble as it had no key, previous owner said computer was missing but there was no other details.

Namco Arcade Stick, no better stick for the PS1/PS2. Get an adapter and use it on the PC too if you like. Great sticks they are.

Just clicked back on the link as it was £4.50 when I posted, escalated quickly I see! :D

Think I paid 40 or 50 each for mine, boxed and incl postage (before PM was around) so yeah they can go for a few quid alright, you're paying for good quality though.
