I went to see this car when I was looking at BMW's and it was for sale for under 3000.

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3580888

It had crash damage (which the owner was forthcoming with) and a multitude of problems(gear box wasn't tight, crack in manifold, and knocking from the rear). I wonder if the new owner bought it and realised it was in trouble soon after, or whether they're just trying to make a quick buck.

Are the prices in or around the same ?

    Liberty insurance.

last year on the vectra 550 ish for a years policy. transfered it to the glanza with 2 months left on the policy for 20 odd euro.

got my renewal, major hike up to 900 euro. ring them, querie it, no response, put on a "call back list" and 6 days later hear nothing from them.

done a quote on the liberty insurance website there now, same details (with a few small tweaks) and the online quote is 525 euro, ring them again, ask will they match it.

    NO!

what sort of **** are they running like, they are doing everything they can to not take money from me.

but got a quote from my local broker or 3900 so suddenly quinn are looking better. epic swings and roundabouts.

I'm with Axa, and when I changed my car it was close to the end of the term so they never charged for the change. When renewing though it was about €50 dearer on the TDi compared to the 2.0 Petrol Honda Accord I had. I asked why was there an increase when I went from a relatively fast petrol car to a slow diesel car. The response astounded me. She said it was because I went from a 1.6 to a 1.9. No matter how many times I tried to tell her there was no such thing as a 1.6 Accord she kept saying that's that I was insured on. Thank f*ck I never had an accident in the Accord because lord only knows what problems would've arose.

    Complain.

They are telling us all these wonderful things and if they're not delivering on them then you should complain.

    I would :)

Does that mean the previous owner had it as a 1.6 on the log book? Lad!

Anybody with opinions on 07 ford fiestas/focus?
Was looking at both the 1.6 and 1.8 petrol. Also is a 1.8 diesel.

They said they got the engine capacity from the number plate. So in Shannon it must show up as a car with an engine that doesn't exist.

I am such a fecking chancer!!!

When I was back from work I had some rest. I could not rest, because fecking lawn is sky high thx to this awesome weather.
it's is very very cloudy, but so sign of the rain... Well **** it! I took lawn mover and did all the lawn in 2.5 hours!
Went to shower and decided that I really need to give my car atleast a minor wash. It's very dirty, even for my liking! :D
So took 2 buckets fast! Got warm water, car shampoo and of I go! While I was cleaning alloys it started raining a wee bit... Fuuuuuuuuuuu!!!
No panic! Finish alloys! Rinse car( tiny rain helped a wee bit too... ), soaped that bitch up!
So when I was finishing rinsing the car, fecking heavens broke through... Awesome! Car is wet, I am wet. :D

Anyway, just did it in time. It was a very needed quick wash. I will do a proper bath for it on weekend, if weather will be half decent...

You know what's the worst part is? When I finished the message and sat down to relax fecking rain stoped and sun came out... That fat bastard on the cloud...

Aye, It's a great summer we're having. Well I heard the long range forecast predicating a build in high pressure near the end of the month. So maybe that will let Cork dry out a bit. It will float away out to sea at the rate it's currently going :pac:.

Volkswagen agrees to buy rest of Porsche for $5.6bn
Volkswagen says it has agreed a deal to buy the remaining 50.1% stake in Porsche it doesn't already own by the start of next month.
VW will pay 4.46bn euros ($5.6bn; £3.6bn) plus one VW common share to acquire the stake.
The two firms had agreed in 2009 to merge by the end of 2011, but have since faced legal obstacles.
The deal is likely to reduce costs and boost VW's earnings as it seeks to become the world's biggest carmaker.
"The accelerated integration will allow us to start implementing a joint strategy for Porsche's automotive business more quickly and to realize key joint projects more rapidly," said Hans Dieter Poetsch, chief financial officer of Volkswagen.

Well i've been paid. And then a lot of other money came from nowhere and then it all disappeared again and then came back.

Looking at what statements I can get my hands on from Anytime and it looks like a lot of my Debit Card transactions last weekend went through twice.

I've enough to keep me ticking until the 16th and will bombard them with a whole world of pain thereafter to get myself back and straight.

How's about you? I assume with your holiday going ahead you got sorted?

    :(

Just saw a motor with a lovely set of clown shoes on it..

    A reasonably tidy e36 318i, in red,

with: 18" Audi a8 replicas (commonly referred to as RS8's)

They obviously had the pcd modified or drilled out to fit or adaptors made up but it was bloody horrific, unfortunately I had no time to get a picture.

Things like this make baby jesus cry

No credits on mine at all yet but they went in & took my loan repayment which is owed to them of course & I'm overdrawn on my account eventhough I told them I didn't want one several times. Been living off what was left in my account from last month but they just took all that so went in & got a sub had no choice, and the cow pretty much made me beg for it
