I've only had stupid offers. It's priced to sell and people still want to pay a lot less. I can't drop it any further because I'm nearly losing money on it with the price so low and a full year's tax.

Sent it to a few mates.

One was nearly going to pick up the phone until his missus reeled him back in again.

Another lad thought the reflection against the house was a photoshop. Couldn't get over the cleanliness of her.

Tell his misses to go you know where haha

No photoshop there as you well know. I asked challengemeaster to take a few pics, the last 2 in the ad are his and I made sure no photoshop or anything like that was used. I turned off all aids on my phone i.e. HDR and what you see in the pics is what you get, no trickery.

Problem with mps m8, that you need that perfect buyer who is looking fr mps. The one who really knows what is he buying.
It's lovely and unique car, but there are a horde of muppets who don't know a single thing about it, so they come with stupid offers.

Good luck with sale, but I am pretty sure you will have it for awile :(.
By the way did you picked up your new motor yet? Or waiting for this to be sold first?

P.s. selling a motor is always a financial loss m8. I would not be looking to get same money you payed for it with added tax value m8. It's just the way it goes.
*i know some people manage to sell for as much as they bought it, but it's a rare stunt.

No, I'm waiting to sell the MPS first. I would LOVE to get my next car right now but I just don't have the money.

I'm not looking to get anywhere near what I paid for it. Last May I paid €13,750 for it, now I'm selling it for €10,950. In my opinion, that's a VERY fair price to sell it at.

Can't see you getting over 9 for it unfortunately, if you hold out expecting to get what you're asking for now you could well still have it in 12 months.
Presumably twas a garage you got it off at the price you mention?

Yep, Sarsfiled Motors. There is another one on DD with double the milage for €9500 so I still consider mine to be well priced.

Tis just when you consider they would have turned a profit on it asking 3k less for a private sale over 12 months on is a tad ambitious, despite the tax. About the other one, asking isn't getting.

Good point James, and one which I didn't take into consideration. That's put things in perspective for me.

hey look, its raining again today :)

just like yesterday and the day before and the day before and the day before... and the weather says its going to rain tomorrow and the next day.

this is tearing me apart. very tempted to go buy mud flaps today and fit them in the rain, only not sure would they ruin the look of the car. its just not going to stop raining this year i dont think.

I know what you're going through. Years ago, even before I joined boards, I used wash the car whenever it got dirty. I have since learned though that it's a complete waste of time and money. I wash it and wax it once a week nowadays, every saturday. If it doesn't need it, I don't bother but it normally does because the roads I drive on every day are sh!te.

The way I see it now is, wash and wax on saturday and then just drive it for the week and not give a toss. It's just not worth it ;)

I've to drive a Groom to the Church at the start of August.

Need to deep clean my thing now. Bring the king of Rain and praying for it all the time will have to stop this weekend. Really need to make Betty shine on Saturday and come the wedding day a quick top up will see her right.

What you could do is just wash it in the rain and wet wax it a few times. That will only work well if there's a fresh-enough layer of normal wax on it already.

thats usually my motto. during the school year last year i was doing 500 miles a week so i just done a clean on a sunday and chose not to upset myself with it the rest of the week.

but during the summer i like to keep her pretty :( i only bought it a month ago and literally havn't had a single dry day yet where i can do more than run out for a quick wash and a hoover.

very frustrated but sure, if thats my biggest worry right now, things are ok :)
