Carter not on form but hanging in there in fairness to him.

Agree. Thought Ronnie would run away with it but Ali is keeping up.

Some very silly fouls being made.

ROFL how much luck does Carter need? He needs to win this frame now.

Edit : And then he goes and misses ANOTHER black off the spot.

    Another missed black by Ali!

Well, that's at least the fourth time tonight that Carter has jawed that black...

By my count that's three off the spot and one not on it.

This frame is crucial for Carter. If he wins it he's right back in the match.

Well, that's some snooker that Ronnie just laid...

Did I just hear there are two sessions tomorrow??

I thought they always finished up on a Sunday night.

Not as good as the one to win the frame though!

    It always finishes on Monday,
an afternoon session and if needed an evening session

Always been on a Monday from what I remember. I used to have school the next morning back in the day. The Ebdon final a few years ago nearly killed me. Had to go into stealth mode to try and avoid my mum that night :P.

The last time an evening session wasn't needed was 1993, when Hendry thrashed White 18-5.

If Carter is 5 frames down tonight, I find it hard to see him winning tomorrow

What time is the first session tomorrow?

remember the Dott win, that was a late one as well, a tough slog. Woudlnt fancy watching a Dott Carter(Ebdon influence) final:eek:

Right Carter, your playing in a world final and have a chance to be only three down going into the final day. Pick yourself up and make a final of this.

Oh God. I remember a war of attrition between Ebdon and somebody else (think it may have been Higgins) that was scrap fest of a semi final that I thought would never ever end.

I remember it too - a rather dreary final at the end of a rather dreary tournament, I'm afraid. :(

Indeed, there were only 46 centuries that year, and just one of them was 140 or over.

And without any disrespect whatsoever to Dott, he made just one century in the whole tournament - and his highest break in the final was just 68...

might as well mention at this stage that higgins won last year after being 10-7 down overnight

  • Registered Users Posts: 42,079 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Carter flukes it and should win from here. :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,578 ✭✭✭✭Turtwig

Carter has got some luck going his way in this match. If he can capitalise on it more he could win this. It's that type of match.

10-7 overnight and really Carter got out of jail this evening. Will still stick with my prediction 18-10 O'Sullivan.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭Dunny

    Roll on 2.30 tomorrow. :)
