    Good for you! :)

Was meant to do loads of work today but instead I just played with my make up and caught up on tv shows. Hmmm.

I've finally put a name/face to rcaz. But it turns out I don't know who he is.
Still, I feel I've achieved something today.

A great man altogether! Worth missing several days of study for.

Watching I can haz general discussion slip off the front page is sort of sad. =/

Also, this sun/rain thing is really quite irritating as the sun keeps making rainbows through the rain left on my glasses.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 912 ✭✭✭Norrdeth

Tis the natural order of things...

    Double rainbows???

    Last week of term maybe?

Also, as I type, it's sunny out. I hate Irish weather -_-

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,810 ✭✭✭Seren_

Maybe. Someone should start a thread ;)

I've the hiccups and I'm in the reading room. Possibly the worst place for that to happen.

If looks could kill, I would die every time I was in that room.
I'm way too naturally clumsy to go in there. I'm in the PG Common Room, and one of the guys here is listening to something, I don't even know what.

    Apparently it's German dancehall reggae.
    What the what, even?

Does anyone know the craic with moving out of campus accommodation early? i.e. will they still try and charge you full whack?

If you're moving out this late I'd say probably but I don't know for def

I'd imagine so, since the full rent has to be paid by the end of January. However I believe under special circumstances they do allow you to pay in instalments after that date, so I have no idea really

Bah, I never go in there anymore, pretty oppressive when there's a bunch of
people that know each other(which is most of the time) and all I want to do is
    chill on my laptop.

I know all of them already, so it doesn't bother me. You'll only rarely see anyone else there. They must have scared everyone off in semester 1.

You know you've had a decent night when you walk into McDonalds, order a Big Mac meal, and you're confronted with a confused looking Japanese face, wondering why this silly foreigner isn't ordering from the breakfast menu.

Can anyone tell me why the lights in the car park beside the SU were not on tonight? It's been like that a couple of nights the last while too.

:( Hey, chin up. Head to sleep. You get up at 8, get some brekkie, and get stuck into a few of the papers and get a few points. Maybe you'll have luck and the lecturer won't ask you questions (or won't ask difficult ones!)

    Best

Sorry to hear that. Maybe it went better than you thought, though!

My plans for the weekend? A super-long orchestra rehearsal tomorrow. With Pizza. And Dusty Trumpets.
    Oh yeah!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 945 ✭✭✭CaoimH_in

Dusty Trumpets sounds like an '80s pornstar.

I made out my notes for a take home exam--like a good student!--and then I lost them. I was almost in tears before I found them again. 100% take home exam #feelingthepressure.

I'm hopeful you did fine. But yes, you're right. It's over!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,810 ✭✭✭Seren_

World literature take home exam? Good luck! Memories of last year :p

And it's not in my head sadly >.< My presentation was weak enough but I thought I'd be able to bullsh1t as per usual when I got up. I got all flustered and stuff though because I hate reading in front of people.

Dusty Trumpets does sound like a porn star haha!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 945 ✭✭✭CaoimH_in

One wonders why Dusty is a popular name in such a profession to be honest. I doubt very much dust is given time to gather!

Not a pornstar observation, but the Dusty Trumpets are an orchestra of older players. Their full name is the "Blow the Dust off your Trumpets Orchestra".
Not as fun as pornstars. But considerably more child-friendly, which is generally good for the orchestra.

Sure kids don't even buy tickets! This business is all about bums on seats: WE WANT DUSTY TRUMPETS! WHOO!
