I had a mini panic attack earlier thinking that the year I'd vowed to go to christmas day, I wouldn't be able to 'cos I've labs Mon-Weds this year. But no labs last week of term, so its all good

Is this for second year Biology? If so, yes we did have a lab on 'Christmas Day' and it was an MCQ which was even worse. It was a TOTAL disaster though because loads of people showed up drunk and most people left within 15 minutes.

Yeah I think it is. It's either Biology or Chemistry or possibly Biomed I can't remember which lab is on each day atm.

MCQ on Christmas day !? Are they MAD !? That's just asking for trouble !

I remember having a lab exam for CS265 on Christmas Day a few years ago.. it was worth 25% of the overall grade and people still showed up kinda "merry"
and my "merry" I mean kinda flootered
. I'd say I answered less than half the paper and still managed over 80% :pac:

Any idea when timetable will be out ?

Applying for jobs and doing interviews atm and its getting awkward with the inevitable "What's your availability?" question :S

The 2014/2015 timetable will be available at the end of August 2014.

I'm far too impatient for that :pac:

I'm just wondering if the timetables at www.cs.nuim.ie are still relevant.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,764 ✭✭✭mickstupp

Whatever timetables you see, I wouldn't expect anything to be finalized until the second or third week at least. Things can change due to weird unforeseen clashes. And timetables in semester 1 are not necessarily the same as those in semester 2.

I remember being really impatient for last years timetable and they said it'd be released at the end of August, but I'm nearly sure it wasn't released until the first week of September. The Biology department usually release their timetables a week or two before the official ones.

    I remember that too

If the bio dept released theirs beforehand that'd be awesome 'cos thats basically all my modules but theres nothing on their page as of yet :(
