    I hope everything gets sorted for you soon, could you defer the course for a year? I got accepted into DIT for a postgrad this year but the fees would be 6k so I had to turn it down- it sucks when something good happens and then you realise it's not going to be. I can understand the frustration it can cause.

    Looks like I'm going to have to defer it if I can at all. I emailed Laois Co. Co. yesterday because someone told me I could get BTEA which would be weekly and Laois Co. Co. would pay my fees (€2,250) but I got an email back this morning saying that it's all under the new grant system. Unfortunately I don't think I could get by with just the grant every month so I think I'll have to save like fcuk and defer it.
