How much do you drink?

It's not 3 kegs anyway, 20 x 7 = 140, there's 80+ pints in a keg so it's closer to 1 and a half.

It's heavy going but there's definitely plenty of oul lads that do it.

Could drink 10 to 12 can/pints a 2 nights a week. The thing is the hangovers are absolutely evil the older you get.

I've been off the drink now 3 weeks now.

Yep, mid 30s and really and the 'is it worth it' scale has tipped in favour of not getting drunk! For the last few years I'd be out once a month, sometimes once every 2. I've been drunk twice in the last 6 months and probably won't be drunk (let's say having had more than 4 pints) again until the summer.

Loads of pints on a Friday would equal goodbye weekend, and i'm not up for that anymore.

this is a major problem here u can still socialise without drinking ? Who knows u may attract more ladies without being drunk ??

During RAG week I drank over a liter of vodka and seven+ pints. Usually over a week I would have at least 500ml...but sometimes a lot more. The odd time, a lot less.

Interesting thread this,i would drink around 30 cans a week, maybe 3 on weeknights and 4-6 on a weekend,i rarely go out though so i may have 4 cans on a friday and be half asleep!,i used to drink a bottle of wine a day,then i went up to 5-6 cans of beer a day now im cutting back, still a mad amount to drink i suppose,

I normally don't drink a lot but I am currently drinking shots of 52% Chinese alcohol from a paper cup in my bedroom in Jiangsu.

'They' say men shouldn't drink more than 20 units of alcohol per week. You're drinking about 80.

'Mad' is one word to describe it alright. I'm frankly shocked by some of the numbers on this thread tbh.

Some weeks I don't drink at all, some weeks I drink a bit. This week I've had 3 glasses of wine and 2 vodkas.

i shocked myself when i worked it out,i never thought of it in unit,even drinkin that much a week im rarely drunk

1 can be to many and 100 not enough, Haven't had an Alcoholic drink in over three years Best decision I ever made

Bottle of wine either a Friday or Sat night, maybe a few pints on another night of the week but thats pretty rare, every 6 weeks or so.

So thats 8 units but according to drinkaware.ie I should be spreading that out over 2 nights with the recommended 3-4 units per day. Can't see that making a huge difference tbh!

Me too. I feel guilty when I occasionally go nuts of a Saturday night. No wonder liver failure is on the up in this country. Ireland has always had a rep for having hard drinkers but, believe it or not, we are as a nation drinking way more than we did 50 years ago and reading this thread, it's not surprising!

I'm still at school so I'm limited in when I can drink!

Usually 2 pints on a Tuesday, 5/6 on a Thursday, and 12-15 on either Friday or Saturday - sometimes both nights, but not too often.

last night went out at 7 finished at 3am. i reckon i had about 14 pints of heineken and 3/4 havanas and ginger ale(memory is a bit blurry). it was lovely.

getting a bit thirsty might go for 1 now for the cure...

usually 40 pints spread over 2 nights. average 20 on a night. then a hape a vodka aswell. few shots aswell dependein on the pub or club.

I drink a bottle of wine or more likely less than a bottle over the course of a week. Prior to having a child..way too much! Would have had at least 1 or 2 drinks 5 nights a week. I certainly have more money to spare nowadays

usually i drink a few cans/pints on Friday/Saturday night. might have a few cans on a weekday night nothing major. I drink about 10-15 pints a week. cant do 2 nights in a row though
