Hi Folks, First post but have been looking at the great info you have been giving for a wee while. I'm no 169 on the merit list and done my medical at the very end of September but haven't heard a dickie bird since. Fired them an email a few days ago but still no reply. No point in complaining though as I'm sure quite a few of us are in the same boat!

PCO and CO and all except the 20 hr contract. One of my mates is already starting his third week in Millisle although he was very high up the list.

I also got a letter recently stating that I declare any convictions, cautions etc despite doing so on the earlier application forms. Has anyone else got one?? P.S it was a caution for driving 4 years ago so I don't imagine any negative effects from that.

Hopefully you'll hear something soon, I haven't had a letter like that! I only applied for the co position, in top 100 merit placing. No I don't think that'd effect it at all as I know of a police officer who had something similar for driving and they let him drive a police car when he was trained to lol.

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you. Medical done few months back and have applied for the same jobs. And not a million miles from you in the merit list. I got that letter too, get it back ASAP. Can't see a driving caution having negative effect either. Oh the wait!!!! Good luck

Yes I got this letter aswell, have a driving conviction from 7 yrs ago so hopefully shouldn't matter. I'm not that far ahead of u on the merit list, applied for all positions except 40hr PCO. Was told not last week, but end of week before that they would be starting to allocate the 35 hr posts within the next 2 weeks. Everything crossed we might hear something this week!!!!

Yes Sharon, and guess!! It's now just a waiting game. Sometimes you can ring and see how they are getting on, but a lot of the time they are just waiting for the go ahead on numbers. If your CTC clearance and access NI are done and completed, soon enough you might get a letter asking to declare any convictions in writing. But for me that came over two months after the medical.

Iv had my CTC and my access NI done me completed and have had my letter to declare any convictions even before I hd my medical......

Beginning to get so peeved now. Called up to say I'd been told by doctor that medical was fine n just to c what would happen now. Was told that they weren't sure that they would get as far as me on list to even offer me a job!!! But when I asked what positions they were filling at the minute she told me that it's still 40 but by times she'd get to me it will probably be a 35 hour position. Anyone else find this totally contradictory information?!

I wouldnt worry. If they are only recruiting for the 40hrs role then you still have a great chance. Have a look at the posts from the start of 2013 on this board. People where getting calls right up until April this year for positions and they were in the 400s!!

Yea sharon it is. On one hand they wont get to u and the other ull get a 35 hour post. It's taking them a very long time to fill the 40 hr posts. I wonder will they ever get to the co posts. Plus if they weren't going to get to u y wud they put u thru a medical? Think of it that way :-)

I am the same as you Sharon1986, i had my medical last week and I'm also CTC and DV cleared, i find it hard to believe that they would put us through a medical and not offer us a start date in training. Fingers crossed we hear something back soon.
