Just received an email telling me that I'm in the top group for Cork and if a position arises I will be asked to attend an interview .... Fingers crossed something comes up !!

Heard nothing back from them.

That said I can't see how they can select people for interviews after that online test.

Thought we'd all have to go for an aptitude test in Croke Park or wherever.

Is it not a bid dodgy if they rank you according to your responses?

Are they basically ranking you as top if you tell them you are the best?

Or is some other criteria used?

And I get through to the next round of AO, can't do it in TCO.

If they're selecting candidates based on that silly online test, and not in aptitude tests or work experience, they they can go to hell anyway, crazy.

Reserve list Dublin. Annoyed because I have a good bit of filing and admin experience but not gutted as I have an interview tomorrow. I don't see how they can rank people just on that questionnaire though.

How many people are put into the top category for each county?

Does that guarantee you an interview.
Are the interviews difficult?

Maybe if those that get the TCO jobs have experience in a County Council or have a friend working there that can coach them in what the interview will consist of or what the County Council does they are deemed a better candidate than someone who has no experience in the position or doesnt really know the first thing about the functions and day to day work practices of a County Council.

Saying that you have to have a family member working in the County Council to get a job there is a load of s**t really
