    Another average episode of Arrow.

But Talia :) and a new Black Canary was a good way to end the episode.

The new Black Canary is a big risk. Having her having the cry due to been a meta will either bomb or be great. Unfortunately you have so many fans who will dislike anything to do with Black Canary unless it is Katie Cassidy this new character is on a road to nowhere. I do think that she will not last longer then some or the rest of the season anyway unless something spectacular happens

Sure if it doesn't work out, they can always just get yet another one. Still don't know why they stipped Artemis being Canary and instead give her a bow she didn't have a notion about.

    Is Michael Dorn voicing Prometheus?

    Yup it's Worf.

Honestly thought it was a good episode this week looking forward to the diggle story and to see what happens with the new Canary loving the district attorney fella he's bad ass can't wait to see his reveal and if he's popular enough be class to see his own spin off but for the moment arrow is class

I'd watch Lexa Doig fold napkins happy days.

How this picks up in the second half of the season

Well that ending was interesting and at least we have one journalist who isn't stupid in the whole CW DC Universe.

Thought this was a really good episode. Having the gun debate may not sit well with people but the Green Arrow is an inherently political character, it was also presented probably as well as a US tv show can. It was nice to see Oliver actually doing mayor stuff as well. Performances from Amell and 'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate' were also as good as they have been.

Yes that was a very political episode not in tone with the show or the CW at all really.

For a show that has its lead character as a self admitted murder/killer I found it strange that they took on mass shootings in the US as political statement episode.

I wonder was a crew member killed in a mass shooting in the States at some stage.

It was well done and an enjoyable episode - great to get a bit of Rene's backstory. I was worried that he was going to be killed off or something, and he's probably my favourite of the newbies, so glad it didn't go that way...

Rene also seems to have the most realistic/plausible backstory which lends itself to a sense of realism. By far my favourite of the "new team".

Best episode in a good while and a good reveal.

Yeah, this season in general though has been such a huge improvement on season 4, and its good to see them learning from their mistakes and taking fan feedback on board...

When Arrow is on top form like this, there isn't a better superhero show.

Any guesses who vigilante is then?

Just because there was such an emphasis on him in the episode, my mind immediately started thinking it might be Paul (Curtis' husband), but I doubt it...

That would be one hell of a plot twist..

I'm actually thinking it's the new love interest, the journalist...

Does Vigilante not seem to be a male?

    I'm thinking that Vigilante is
actually the guy they thought was Prometheus, whose father Oliver killed 5 years ago, and whose mother they approached for help a few weeks back.
In other words a reversal of the guy that the internet thought was Viglante, and the guy Team Arrow thinks is Prometheus.

Really liking how Arrow is going this season.
Just because there was such an emphasis on him in the episode, my mind immediately started thinking it might be Paul (Curtis' husband), but I doubt it...

I actually thought that during this episode as well. Especially during the fight scene across the street from Oliver addressing the press. Vigilante shot at MadDog and Diggle but seemed to hold back from Curtis.

Also I'm enjoying the comic relief that Renee brings to the show. He does the double act well no matter who he shares the scene with (eg both Curtis and Quentin)

if its the husband that would be a great twist

i never suspected the DA to be Prometheus as i just assumed he was vigilante which to there credit has been great as the reveal all across the CW shows have been to obvious.

just thinking what happened to the girl that turned on team arrow forget her name nut took over black carnary. i think im just forgetting if Prometheus killed her or we just haven't seen her

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,363 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Artemis just disappeared. Don't know where she is.

I'm sure Vigilante was there wondering what the blue laser he saw was when Team Arrow were near him. That seemed really weird how that worked like that

christ I hate Curtis...he brings nothing to the show..seems he's only in there just to have a gay character..please let Prometheus kill him off.
If he was more like the guy in Banshee who was fantastic in the role then I'd be happy with that .

Spoiler from the next episodes trailer here
In the next episode Oliver finds Talia who says he goes by the name Adrian Chase. A youtuber who i watch Pagey thinks because she says he goes by the name means there could be a real Adrian Chase or its his brother Dorian from the comics

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 950 ✭✭✭somuj

I think Adrian Chase is Malcoms brother or his bastard son.

Very good episode. As usual with Arrow, things tend to get VERY good towards the end of the season.

Chase is a bit of a cartoon villain though. Slade, Ra's and Damien all had charisma. This guy comes across as a complete tool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,574 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Felicity needs to be cut loose, the irritating illogical sow.

So she dumps Oliver because he didn't tell her he had a kid - because the mother specifically forbade him from doing so but her secret is she has joined, basically, a terrorist organization and he should just trust her? Take a walk felicity.....

And chase.... Your dad was a monster.

Talia, your dad was a killer and Oliver beat him in 1vs1 combat (which the league has rules on respect over).

    Great episode though.

Anyone think that the actor playing Chase is channeling Christian Bale?

To be fair, this season has been generally Very Good all the way through. Maybe 1 or 2 episodes that didn't quite hit the mark, but overall it's at the best it's been since Season 2.

The best episode of Arrow we have had, imo.

Will be interesting to see how they progress Oliver/Arrow beyond this episode over the coming season, and into the future.
