Nothing nicer than seen Tyrone supporters leaving half way through the second half of a game :D

I know it hurts but it will get easier :D listen that was in response to your "them" comment but anyhow see ya Wednesday;)

"them" is now offensive is it? Sorry man but I'm a long time posting in here and I've never gone into another teams thread to wum after a game we've won.

That's exactly the kind of thing that makes me hate losing to "them".

Listen it's the way you used the word 'as well you know' and no was not offended by it in the least.
You seemed to have taking offence to my been in your thread though with a friendly bit of banter.

You need to talk to Jayop in-between games, not just before or just after! It's the first rule of the Tyrone Thread.

Anyone is welcome in here even beyond the boards rules. I post in the Donegal thread the odd time too. I wouldn't go into another thread immediately after winning and post something like that though.

And stoner is right. I'm the most butt hurt person on here when we lose.

Have to say I have noticed that but then again when you know as many Tyrone supporters as I do and live beside you take every chance you can(lord knows since 2010 there's been a lot of opportunities) :P
Just one wee question on my first post as well if you where not at the game why did you take offence to me calling out Tyrone fans for leaving early nothing more disrespectful I'm my opinion than my fellow Donegal fans leaving early while getting beat

I was taking offense at you coming in here trying to get a rise. Like I said save that ****e for the soccer forum.

As for people leaving early it's a Dick act.

No your ok il leave you at the soccer forum the amount of crap and asslicking that goes on in there il stay out of it thanks.
By the way I was not looking for a rise was more pointing out Tyrone supporters are not always the super fans they make out to be, granted I did do it with an air of glee about me in hindsight I probably should have left it until today to bring it up.

Sure, if only youse could play every championship game in wind and rain swept Ballybofey ;) it would be fierce hard getting a ticket for the final though

Wasn't able to listen to the game tonight, but looking at the scoring and how the game the last day sounded it's a bit worrying that the gap between the 2 u21 sides seems to be so large. I know our senior panel is currently full of lads who were playing u21 only a couple of years ago so they are a young side, but that conveyor belt needs to keep rolling if we want to keep up.

Tend to go in cycles these things though + 3 years from minor when at their strongest.

    Minor winner
    Tyrone - 2012
    Monaghan- 2013
    Donegal- 2014

    U-21 winner
    Tyrone- 2015
    Monaghan 2016
    Donegal (favourites to win 2017).

It's funny, even the meeting last year between Donegal and Tyrone was a very similar game to the minor game between the pair in Ballybofey in 2013.

Would be even more interesting of Monaghan managed to win the senior this year and Donegal next. I know people sometimes overhype the significance of strong underage teams, but for counties like ours and even look at Cavan now in D1, Tipp going well last year int he championship and others these young lads coming through, winning things and breathing that confidence into a senior panel is brilliant.

Like look at the panel who were in the minor championship in 2010 when Tyrone beat Cork....

    TYRONE: C Spiers; S McGarrity, C Clarke, HP McGeary; N Sludden (0-1), M Donaghy (0-1), E Deeney (0-1); H Óg Conlon (1-0), C Grugan (0-2); R Donnelly, T Canavan (0-1 free), R Devlin; S Tierney, J McCullagh (0-4), R Ó Néill (0-2, 0-1 free).
Subs: P McNulty for Donaghy (40), L Girvan for Devlin (48), D Donnelly for Tierney (54

A lot of them lads are starting and are pivotal players for Tyrone now.The same lads liek Sludden, Donnelly and O'Neill were pivotal in 2012 too.

I was watching it at home on Eir and my sat box is on the blink at the moment, freezing for 30 seconds every minute or so. As is my way I wouldn't bring myself to watch the highlights of it again so I only seen limited bits of the game.

From what I seen we were out played and out fought. It was a nightmare of a night for football and Donegal won the game in the first half and Tyrone heads dropped early in the second when we couldn't close the gap.

I wouldn't read much more into than to say that stories of Donegal's demise have been over stated since last summer. They're still there and will be still there in the summer too.

Thanks for that,I should have brought a tad more clarity to my question.

I was referencing the match this weekend against our crowd Mayo.:)

    Ah sorry.

We'll I'd be hoping for a lot better weather than we had against Donegal for one thing!

If we can stay ahead of ye or within a point or two or ye with 20 minutes to go I'd give us a great chance. After seeing Donegal run away with the game and our heads dropping I'd be worried you'd build up a lead and we wouldn't be able to rope ye in again.

All in all, I'd expect us to win in Omagh with something to prove but no result would shock me.

Not sure what's going on tactically with us this year. Wides aside we seem to be playing a completely different style of football going forward. Three games this year I've noticed it big time that we're letting the ball in very long very early. It seems to be working in that we've made a lot of chances but o don't see us risking possession so much in the championship.

I was puzzled by the wides, too, particularly in the 2nd half. And ye should've been out the gate with all the help ye got from Lane. 2 definite red card offences were committed at the end of the game by Tyrone players. I hope that fella does'nt referee an under 14 game again this year. He was a bloody disgrace.

Aye and a few punches on Harte in the first half went unpunished. We didn't get help from him, our best point taker and probably our best player sent off for nothing in the first half. Crazy to say he helped us. So he he didn't send off Donnelly in the 69th minute, big deal.

It was never a black card for sure - and I'm a Mayo fan!! All the Mayo crew beside us were shocked. Yellows given for nonsense and then others let away with much more serious tackles - from both sides.

Thought we were making progress, but a spanking off Donegal and a failure to put away a side that were there for the taking has dampened my expectations a little. Interesting to see what sort of reaction we get against Kerry. Three defeats on the bounce wouldn't be ideal preparation for the championship.

I just don't see us playing how we did yesterday in the championship, in fact I'd be absolutely amazed if we start with Sean up top or as in the last game or two before this one with Donnelly. No way are we going to be that adventurous in possession against a top side in the championship.

It's all for nothing though because if we cant stick the ball over the bar we'll not beat a top side.

In the last few years poor shooting has cost us the following games despite being the better side (IMO)

Last day of the league in 2015 to get relegated against Kerry only managed a draw.
AI semi final 2015 against Kerry, more chances to get goals and points left behind.
AI 1/4 final against Mayo last year.
League game against Dublin in Croker this year, should have stopped Dublin's run.
Mayo in the league this year.

So the last games we've played against the top 3 sides we've not won any of them and we've left every one of them behind us despite having enough chances to win twice as many games.

Unless we find a forward who can do it regularly, I'm not even talking about a Steven O'Neill kicking them from all over, just someone who can convert easy chances then I don't see that run ending.

I'm as downbeat now as I've been in about 3 years TBH.
