Maia is looking.... I dunno, scared? He isn't mounting much of an offence... Has he attempted a takedown yet? Cos he's going to lose the standup up at this rate...

    agreed maia is losing

He seems very one-dimensional. Weidman has very little to worry about in the stand-up.

i'm gonna agree with rogan for once, maia is looking a bit one dimensional. weidman is breathing a little heavy i think, might make it interesting

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭Hococop

is maia trying to prove he can strike??/ for gods sakes man just take him down and sub him

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,430 ✭✭✭✭El Guapo!

Weidman seems tired and as Rogan said it could be down to the weight cut on short notice. He needs to keep this standing and not risk getting subbed. He's winning it on the feet.

The last thing I thought this fight would be was ... Boring.

Rogan is right, sloppy kick boxing.

    agree with rogan its sloppy

    What an awful last round!
    30-27 for Weidman

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭Hococop

    poor fight

Can't see how Maia wins that...

Even the lads seem bored at this stage.

You'd expect the ****ty cardio from Weidman, given the short notice he took the fight on, but it's just unprofessional from Maia.

    Weidman has that. Horrible fight

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

the night picks up from here anyway!

anyway, i have a query, if sonnen brings his fake belt to the fight does that make it a 5 rounder?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,659 ✭✭✭unknown13

Maia looked awful. Its time he goes back to his old ways. Focusing on his BJJ rather than striking.

I seriously think people are underestimating Chaels standup, up or down I think Chael has the edge but he has a greater edge by putting Bisping on his back.

Oh, and I'm *hating* this Fox nonsense with the no name presenter. At least now were on to Joe Rogan...

Chael is the only person I have seen drop Anderson Silva

Have they stopped Rogan from doing post-fight interviews or is that a Fox thing?

How did a judge see that for Maia... Lol...

The "Move of the Fight" was a foot sweep takedown. Says it all really, lol...

    HAHAHAHA, that was class

Sonnen talking and at the end turned and looked at the camera "Fighting Chael Sonnen is bad for your health"

Chael is better than any of those WWE guys at this stuff, he's fast becoming my Fav UFC fighter
