What kills me is SUV and trailer at 44 seconds, grand place to pull in? Nah, I'll just dumper her here, begrandtofcuk.

Parking a vehicle in a dangerous position (i.e. across from a continuous white line) is a mandatory court appearance, 5 points on your licence and a court fine.

Was the first not very tight into oncoming traffic? Was there a 3rd?

Yep, three overtakes. As mentioned, first was grand. Bit closer than I would like, but grand.

    Wow, Ray D'Arcy still going?
Hadn't even noticed that to be honest, so used to stuff like that.

Those are some serious penalties. Suppose it can easily contribute to an accident.

This is all Russian dash cam clips, they upload a new one every few weeks, I always end up watching them and try to see the accident before it happens, just to see how perceptive I am.

It's a very up to date channel, nicely put together videos, I've subbed to it with a while, great for when you've had a frustration drive home :)

Great channel that proves how idiotic some drivers can be, some accidents I've seen on those videos could be spotted way before it happened, how the drivers didn't see it coming amazes me.

Jesus, half of them seem to think "I'll just pull out now, fuggitanyway" and the other half "well I'm in the right, so I'm not stopping"
When apportioning blame in an accident, the new procedure should be watch the video and if the driver didn't seem to bothered about avoiding the accident, 50% of the blame. That way dash cams would catch people who say "great cash opportunity, let's plow into him"

This bus driver is known as 'The Punisher' for his tendency to punish drivers that cut him up, apparently from an article I've read he's never been blamed for any of his accidents.

To be honest most of those accidents on that video are people who pull in in front of him and brake.
You can't really do emergency braking in a bus full of standing passengers, so it's probably better off to hit the car, instead of trying to do emergency braking and risking some injuries to his passengers.

That's pretty much, word for word, his excuse, do you drive for Dublin Bus? :pac:

No - I don't drive for Dublin Bus, but I do drive buses.

Why are people brake testing him ?

If they are trying to change lanes, fair enough. But why brake test a bus after switching lanes, I don't get it

It's called crash for cash. They do it in the hope that he hasn't got a dash cam... well, this fella's prolly sick of being taken for a soft touch. :)

It's like mad dodgems out there. Is it because it is a vast country and we see the extremes or is it usually like this? Car repairs must be quite cheap, or do the weld the font and back of the damaged cars to make one good one?

I don't have exact figures but while Russia's road death per million is reported higher than most countries it's apparently lower than US and China, I'd say there's so many clips purely because of the amount of dashcams people have.

Here's some from the US, although not as extreme

Here's a 27 minute long one, with a land cruiser blowing up at 20.10, no idea why..

It does become obvious though that the reason Russia have so many accidents might have something to do with the weather.

that's what's known in certain technical circles as "a bomb". seriously, that's a proper explosion, it didn't happen by accident.

Yes, but their junctions appear to promote accidents. They appear to go when they are blind and cannot see oncoming cars. They cut each other up, and lose control of their cars (admittedly in the ice) but must be driving too fast for the conditions. Lorries appear ablivious of cars altogether. A very dangerous environment to be driving. However, most of these appear damage only, but I'm not entirely sure.

Does RED mean the same in Russia?

i'm starting to think that each car in russia exists on a slightly different plane of existence to every other car so that drivers are totally unaware of the existence of everyone else on the roads. i honestly can't think of any other explanation that explains how they get themselves into such easily avoidable accidents.
