I'm assuming it is indeed a bit of trickery. Looks very artsy alas I'm making an assumption when people see that they'll think it needs a bonnet!
Or they'll think he's a wannabe racer/drifter. Fair play to him for keeping it in what looks like good nick, but it's an Omega - would you be bothered with the artsy photos!

Timing pump (?) done with receipts to prove?
I don't know what a timing pump is, and it doesn't have a timing belt but hey, at that price...

I'm sure we've never seen motoring this cheap on this thread before!

Ad is 20 minutes old. I doubt it will last another 20 minutes before it's sold, even though it's in Offaly :p

I'd be a tad skeptical. We're only 6 days into February, who taxes a car for a year then sells the car for less than the tax?

It also appears to be crashed at the front left.

Still at that money it'd be worth a look. No way I'd drive it though

Yeah it makes no sense. Tax is €358 for the year. It would have saved him over €250 not to have taxed / NCTd the car ( and to have sold it for €100 scrap)

You never know though? Could be a firesale? Urgent emigration? Would be interesting if someone came up with more on this :)

And about not driving it - if it was this or walk (and I lived in stylish Offaly :p), I'd drive this!!!

I have a buddy who would say something like that, it seems they hope they are going to be right..but are always somehow miles off the mark..always seems to be stereotypical car terms like V8 or twin cam that they pick up on and try to slip into conversations!!

Only NCT'd about 2 weeks ago so it can be tested in another few weeks and get a 15 month NCT. Mileage is about average for the year and from what I hear these 330d's can do mega miles.

It's not a genuine M-Sport obviously but it looks nice all the same. A few quid off to buy a few months tax and it's quite a nice car for the money.

I think many people are thinking the same. €1809 for tax......every time I think about our tax system the more annoyed I get at our government.

Its fascicle, im in the market for an "older" 3 series, 02-03. But also trying to keep running cost low, going for diesel, and hopefully a 320.

You sure about that? It's got a Tech1 M-Sport kit with M-Sport wheels, seats and the black headlining interior that comes with sport models.

I based my comment on the SE steering wheel and SE gearknob. I'd wager it was originally an SE anyway.

    Could well be wrong though.

I would doubt the NCT date is right for a car older than 10 years (5/15??) It could only be up as far as 05/14 surely?
Anyway, I posted one a year newer with less miles for €300 more a few days ago.
I can't help thinking what the pitfalls are with these around 120 to 140,000 miles? DMF or Clutch? Is there a DPF in these (00 to '03 - '04)? All seem to be coming up with similar mileage. Stinks of a large repair bill on route.

Mileage is not low but if it was reasonably well minded it should keep going for a while yet. Six months doe and two new tyres on her apparently

Nice motor, I'd love to have one of these, although I think the 2 door is nicer but I still wouldn't say no though.

Is Meath the county of Saabs? I've seen alot of them there.I even sold one to a couple up there.;)

Looks very well kept. If I could afford to run a 2l turbo petrol now I'd jump on that.

mmm new oil eh? Cylinder head gasket gone and we're hiding the emulsion? These Puntos were renowed for the head gasket going. I went through three of them when we owned one though I'm sure the ex's one and half mile school run didn't help the cause much.
