    I may have been a tad harsh :) That said, the whole okc/boards/real world thing freaks me out a bit too much!

    And I was as shocked as anyone! I read this thread now and then, it's pretty entertaining :)But not once did I expect to see someone I'd messaged on here, let alone a message I'd sent! Small world is right.

    This, tbh its a pretty small thing to argue over if you were getting on pretty well.
    Plus it will be a great story to tell the grandkids about how you were having an argument but the people from the internet got you back together

    Had the same at first then I thought of a cunning plan. End your message with a joke but save the punch line. The result? I got my first response on the site and when gave the punch line never heard from her again:D

    But seriously though chin up try not to take it too serious continue with your life send a few messages every day or two look at profiles and just see if there are any common elements to profiles which you have overlooked when describing yourself. Sending clumps off messages at once is gonna a) dent your ego big time and b) you get so wrapped up in getting a reply that you simply start sending for the sake of it without really finding someone with stuff in common that you could really get on well with.

    After today and all the love atmosphere surrounding people you can be sure to find a few new profiles pop up over the next 24 hours so plenty more choice :cool:

    If you have sent that many then maybe they are coming across as 'cut and paste' jobs which dont get many replies.

    Recently saw a great way to tackle that.

    Post the message if its really inappropriate on your page followed by a link to the profile who sent it

    Profile was shortly after deleted as well as providing a deterrent for future mails
