I've interacted with the OP of this thread before. He usually spends his time trolling the Commuting and Transport subforum with this kind of nonsense.

Looks like he/she has decided to go bigtime in AH.

We'll have to ask that Joe Coleman psychic guy to let us know when she's next due for an appeearance in AH.

I'm a civil servant and I can't get the internet in work. All my Boards time is done in my free time. Pretty sad really...

So many people have such dopey opinions on the public service and particularly the civil service. I suppose it's easy just to believe what the media feeds you.

Oh yeah I'd no Internet access.

Hasn't really worked out well for them.

Some mod should lock it. But tbh sometimes you bring these things upon yourself.

A moderator on foot.ie who has 20,000 posts is a civil servant. A damning indictment of that department's IT policies.

    fool.ie more like

some things never change. 30 years ago it was knitting which occupied someone I knew in the ps for half her working day. When you are overpaid, overstaffed and cannot be sacked thats what often happens.

    I'm employed by Boards.

€30 for every ban, €20 for an infraction and €10 for every thread i close.

How much for each thank you get:D

when your're stressed out between the next sickie and the weekend.

talkin' about sickies, there was a great piece in yesterdays paper, it gave all the statistics, and showed piublic service sickies was double that of the private sector. But shure everyone knew that anyway.

Woodoo, I'd pay no attention to someone who bases his expert knowledge on "someone he knew" 30 years ago.

    Bitter is as bitter does...

    Leave the mods alone!!!!!!!!:D:D

All I know is there are senior mods like Dr. B - who are excellent mods and very fair.
But there's also junior mods too, like KeithM89 - that guy is just on a power trip. :P

No Spiders for boards this year I'm afraid. Never fear, bigger and better plans for next year.

I'm thinking about becoming a civil servant though, apparently they have loads of free time :P

Professional troll, nice to meet your acquaintance :pac:

So the "boards.ie employee" in your tagline doesn't actually mean you're employed by boards and paid?

Civil Servants may or may not be evil is the conclusion to this thread I think:pac:

Good luck with the Golden Spider next year then. I think the Zeddies are finished.

What are you good folks always doing in the "test" forum.
There's something very suspicious about it.

Do you only ever work from an office for boards or are you working from home now for example. Working from home, while good, would be annoying if you ever want to throw a sicky!

Well i wasn't sure if getting paid in coke and hookers qualified ye as employees! :pac:

I hate the general consensus about the civil service. Makes me laugh when people say "They're overpaid fat cats always taking days off work and they can't be fired. Its a joke"

Makes me laugh everytime. I know people who work 8am to 5pm then overtime from 5pm to 9pm. Monday to friday

Their pay has been cut from €700 to €320 and now their overtime that they've been desperatley working for is going to be cut 10%.

I'm sorry but If having to borrow money from your parents to give your kids a decent christmas is being an "over paid fat cat who always takes days off", then stick whiskers on me and call me Bagpuss.
