I don't buy that. Talking as someone who had a Corsa and has driven a few Alfa 156s.

I drove it around a corner where the Alfa would always understeer badly. The Corsa didn't understeer at all. QED.
Anyone who suggests anything about a Corsa is superior to an Alfa, minus running costs and timing belts, ought to see a shrink

*btw I despise those little rotboxes people call corsas

    Good man. Run along now.

Don't forget that the Alfa is a bigger, heavier car compared to the Corsa ;)

What a lovely attitude you have.

Is it possible the tyres were part of the problem? Poor quality tyres can often give that sensation.

Nah, I went around it faster again at lunch to make sure :D

I didn't find that the Alfa handled particularly well compared to, say a Mondeo.

Haven't a clue what it is to be honest but I could only think of the Jag while typing that post :o

They're having a competition to win the Jag but you have to be a UK/NI resident. I got my cousin in the North to enter it for me :D

Never found my 156 to understeer badly but then again I don't drive like a moron. The Corsa didn't understeer because it's a 50bhp hatch compared to a 140bhp Alfa Saloon...

As said he's entitled to his opinion no need to be so touchy.:D

    Good man. Run along now.

I don't do cheap lousy digs at people, not my style :)

Tis just my opinion, based on driving the 2 (after owning a Corsa at some stage too)

I found the corsa I had felt cheap and nasty, the pathetic 1.2 couldn't pull the little rustbag up a gentle incline. Fiesta was a far superior car in every aspect.

What does not help is every 2nd one you see has a yobbo driving it with a bean can exhaust and halfrauds aerofix bodykit or a redtop conversion thats undeclared

The 156 is a far bigger and heavier by contrast. My 166 does not under steer under heavy cornering, even in the wet. My E34 did understeer in the wet but thats due to it being rwd, fast approach and Nankangs.

Just my opinions, don't take it so personally ;)
