Not really sure what you mean here, but under the Lisbon Treaty, all EU member states have an obligation to step in and aid any member state that comes under attack. So in the unlikely event of Ireland being invaded/attacked, we'll have the full support of the EU.
what if we were invaded by another eu country who gets the support there?

    We have 120mm Mortar's too.

The 105 is pointless since we don't deploy it Overseas for some odd reason.

Not deployed, but not pointless. The DF is taking the Fire Support Team model and employing it within the DF right? Well once that's up and running, I can't see why it won't be viable/possible to take the 105mm overseas.

sadly, this is misinformation that seems to be widespread.

the LT does contain a 'mutual aid' obligation, however it does not specify the nature or extent of the aid to be given. the other states get to choose that - and only if it happens to fit in with that governments wider defence/foreign policy - so if Ireland were to be attacked, other EU states could send 10 litres of deisel and a Mars bar, and their obligations would be fullfilled.

some EU states wanted a full, NATO-style mutual defence treaty, but some countries (and i'll let you guess which one...) didn't want to get involved in all that expensive, politically difficult business, so we have the current set-up, which is as close to valueless as its possible to be. but hey, Ireland has its 'neutrality'...
