I wonder will they release another video before Christmas with a release date? Anyone know what were the dates for the San Andreas trailers were?

look at the bright warm colours, the varied landscapes, the music, the FUN, the energy, the blue skies............**** you Niko Bellic!

    Welcome Back GTA!

so excited, for me its almost the equivalent of Square Enix being renamed SquareSoft rehiring Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobou Uematsu with co, bringing back the world map and airships, focusing resources on a non over the top non matrix anime style storyline, that didn't bore the arse of us and had some relatable chracters like the games of FF6-10

Finally rounding up the ff13 team and torturing them before they finally came to their senses and realised you can't remove certain core parts of games and still slap franchise labels on them and expect them to be "Final Fantasy" or in this cse "GTA"

    1.00 is just beauty

Only for the fact that GTA games have never don't pre-rendered cut-scenes, I would honestly think that whole trailer was pre-rendered. Looks amazing!

Just to go back on the debate about Rockstar losing the touch for going back to SA, I really don't think it is any surprise. The game is aimed for players all over the world, and thanks to TV, movies, books etc. New York, Miami and LA are probably the most well known cities in the world as a result. All the previous games, they all felt right to me, despite the fact I was never in Miami in the 80's.

Also, I personnally don't want a GTA in London. Yeah it was good the first time, but I just don't think London is a good city for a GTA game.

Did anybody else notice that the characters and peds animation seem a step back from GTA4.

Not necessarily a bad thing if other areas of the game are improved on.

Thought they looked a bit better, myself. How do you mean?

Well if you look at the following pics Los Santos is a definite:

    and from the opposite angle:

Hmmm, dunno maybe its just my imagination. The animation looked similar to pre-Gta4.

Was it mentioned that the bridge in the pic looks like a certain famous bridge IRL and one that featured in San Andreas before? :P

This pic provides a better angle -

You've never seen Lock/Stock, Snatch, Layer Cake, Sexy Beast? Never mind all the history it has from the Kray Brothers to the Jamaicans etc...

London would be a brilliant place for a GTA game. They've done it before, time to do it 3D.

Hmm, I dunno! I like the Americanism of the GTA games! The whole London/cockney thing doesn't appeal to me at all. The setting and surrounding just wouldn't feel as cool as a New York or Los Angelas!

I get you - but thats because we're Irish. :pac:
The Americans would eat it up. Lock Stock was awesome...

After all the video games industry is about making money.
Its more business savvy to create something more mass-appealing. Americana is more mass appealing than GTA Berlin (etc)

Speaking of lock stock I saw guy ritchie tonight in the o2 Dublin. Anyway I hope it's tommy vicetti and it would also be cool if you could play a part of the game as cj

I wouldn't be a fan of London. It would feel even more clustrophobic like Liberty city. Miles and miles of narrow streets and traffic jams. There was a game based in London on the PS2. I forget the name but it was quite popular.

Looking at the trailer again, the city/cities do look massive but I bet not near the scale of Liberty city. Thats not a bad thing. I thought the central island in Liberty city was impressive at first but a bit bland overall.

It was called the Getaway if I'm thinking of the right game...

The Getaway and True Crime and Saints Row, etc. just don't seem to be able to get everything as right as GTA does. I'm sure if R* did (a 3D) london they'd make a success of it. I reckon if it were one of three islands, it could be very well done, actually.

Dunno if this has been mentioned yet...

Name on the shop is Ace followed by the different suits of cards. Hopefully that means Las venturas will be included too along with San Fierro

This looks amazing makes me laugh how ppl spot the tiniest of details on these trailers they much watch them 10 times over ;) , delighted its San Andreas provided its the state of San Andreas and not just Los Santos

Have any of you read the spoilers that came from 4 Chan? The person who posted them revealed the length of the trailer and the setting correctly, so the other stuff he posted looks like it will be legit too.

Obviously I won't post them here as some of them outline story mode storylines, but just search for it on Google if you're interested.

Anyone know if there are dogs in it? :D

Also I wonder if we are able to customize what the character wears? As in get new threads for him?

Vercetti being the main character could be a fit, albeit with a different voice actor.
He talks about being a 'good guy' and a 'family man', etc.
Plus his age would be about right.
