A pre-order doesn't mean you will get one on the 17th, if a store only gets in 300 copies and they have 400 pre-orders for instance.

I wouldn't be waiting around until lunch I'd say that much

Well i've pre-ordered in-store at gamestop Limerick. It says on my reciept it will be held for 48 hours...

It says that for all pre-orders. Its just a long shot that your store might run out, better safe than sorry.

I've actually been checking torrent websites lately for GTA5.
My console isnt modded, it's just that when it hits the net ... blackout time :pac: I'll even be cautious of youtube. I know someone else said GTA4 only got leaked 5 days or something before release. But still... this is such a huge game and alot of titles have hit the net in the last couple of days.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't available sometime within the next week.
It went gold on the 24th, so any day now it'll appear

Rockstar have updated their Crew system to include a hierarchy. Your Crew rank will be visible online and the higher your rank, the more valuable a target you are to others. Not thrilled that I might be hunted non stop because of a leader rank, I only made the thing for boardsies to jump into an online game!

Once the 1st week of multiplayer is done, I will throw out a few ranks depending on who's doing well XP/Score wise. Also, I accept bribes.

Crew Leaders can assign special rank to any and all members (Crew members will otherwise all be defaulted to the designation of Muscle) across the following four tiers:

• Commissioners: The Crew’s most trusted member(s) - that essential right-hand man or woman that the Leader relies on for Vice Presidential advisement and executive action. Commissioners have the power to manage and administrate all aspects of the Crew on behalf of the Leader, including the ability to promote members internally or invite new members in.
  
• Lieutenants: Made members with specific privileges to keep the Crew in check and hand out promotions or demotions amongst sub-ordinate ranks. Crew Representatives and the mob of Muscle would be wise to keep their Lieutenants (and above) sweet.
  
• Representatives: A tier of Crew members who have shown and proved their commitment to the clique - whether with ace performance in competitive modes, or just by rocking their Crew's emblem faithfully since day one. Crew Leaders can assign these special players as Representatives who will have basic permissions to aid recruitment efforts.
  
• Muscle: The rank-and-file mob of Crew members who are happy to play their position of causing some havoc Online, doing their Crew's emblem justice and fighting for its good name. Muscle-level members may not have nor want any administrative power but they're often the heart and soul of what makes your Crew fearsome. Ambitious Muscle who are looking to prove themselves to the Crew Leader and rise up the ranks may even prove a threat to their Crew superiors, if any are deemed to be slacking on their responsibilities or performance.

Not a fan of the names of the ranks. Would have preferred President, Vice President, Sgt at Arms, Prospect etc.

Hypothetical Situation That has No Bearing on the Boards Crew
It'd be cool if the lower ranks could overthrow the leadership or split off and form another crew, stealing some of the current crew's rep at the same time. Like say 1 of the Commissioners gets a few of the Lieutenants on his side, and they lead a attack on sheehy, all the other Commissioners and loyal Muscle and Reps try and defend him, or they can join in the attack. If sheehy dies, the Commissioner can take over with the agreement of other Commissioners (say they just think "Fu*k it, it's not worth dying over." or they have to kill the resisting Commissioners as well.
Or a Commissioner could split off and form his own crew.



Probably not in the game, and probably never will, but would be class. :pac:

I've only stuck a tenner down on it with the intention to pay the full amount later. The guy in the shop told me they didn't have an exact price yet but it would probably be 60-70 euro for standard edition.
My plan is to go in there at 4pm on release day as i can't get the day off work...I'd be majorly pissed off if they sold my copy:mad::mad:....Better ring them and check i suppose.

My best advice it to pay it off in full before launch because they should hold your copy then.

If you're with Gamestop, you'll have to have a balance of €65 for it to be counted as payed off on the till.

If a store has 400 pre-orders, and only 300 copies of a game, the first 300 will get them. They won't wait for the next 100 to come in before the first 300 go out.
